It is tomorrow, so I suppose a discussion topic would work. Just a few quick things I wanna say first: I'm very VERY stoked about Edge vs. Jericho. Michaels-Undertaker doesn't really interest me. Cena Vs. Batista will be like every Cena match: He gets dominated, then "Miraculously" pulls out the win. And then the commentators go on about it as if it's a miracle he won. I'm also a supporter of the ongoing face turn of Randy Orton. Bret Vs. Vince will be quite interesting. I can see Bret putting Vince in the Sharpshooter, and then Shawn Michaels orders the bell to be rung although Vince doesn't tap. |

Not sure why, but unlike last year where they were deliberately trying to make the fans feel that way, I genuinely think they have something planned for this. I've heard that Michaels has said before this storyline fell into place that he planned to take another hiatus rather than retire, which is strong evidence that one way or another he's probably not going to be around after this match, but I still have this nagging feeling that they're going to end Taker's legendary streak. Doesn't really matter, but I would be disappointed to see WM loose one of its main draws (the yearly Taker match). Edge and Jericho could go either way and still be worthwhile. Not sure what they plan to do with this storyline after Wrestlemania, but I feel it has potential. Agreed about Cena. Cena's fits the "Boring Invincible Hero" trope far too well, and unlike other famous BIHs, I don't think even a heel turn or a edgier gimmick could make him any better. Maybe he'll continue to grow on me (let's face it, Cena's a beast on the mic), but I can't really see this match with Batsy doing any good. I have this weird feeling that Triple H is headed for a heel turn and Sheamus will become this apprentice-like character for him. They're really very similar. Orton is in the midst of a tweener-turn, which is cool, and it's obvious from the fan support he's getting that Orton could go over with any crowd. Hell, he's already popular as a heel. We'll see. Bret and Vince had better be some primo ****. I mean, this is an angle nobody ever though WWE would pull out again, and so far it's been going really well. If this match spoils three months of steady build, it will be the prime disappointment of the year and WWE cannot afford disappointments with rising competition from TNA. I assume they're going to try to shock everyone with Money-In-The-Bank. I'd like it if they gave it to Jack Swagger, who has the potential to be a main-eventer, but only time will tell which superstar they're willing to hand it to. I'm assuming it'll be Christian or Kofi, but WWE's been known to turn it around and try to shock the audience. I've actually forgotten most of the undercard, but all of that will be made clear later tonight when I check the results. Interesting card this year, and honestly I think it has even better potential to be a classic Wrestlemania than last year's gimmicky and hit-or-miss show (minus the obligatory Taker/Michaels match, which saved that show from being a straight-up disappointment). EDIT: Lawl, I reread my last rant and realized my opinion has changed in two weeks time on a lot of stuff. Man, these people change their **** so often it's hard not to juggle conflicting opinions. EDIT2: Welp, I was wrong. Taker retained his streak. Good results all around, it seems. Last edited by Galefore; 03-28-2010 at 09:52 PM. |

Cena-Batista had pretty much the exact same ending the whole fanbase was expecting. It wasn't really all that good of a match either. I kinda expected Edge-Jericho to go down how it did. Bret Vs Vince was a MASSIVE dissapointment. But considering how they couldn't allow any blood (The whole "Linda McMahon running for Senate" thing.) I can't be really all that suprised. Swagger winning MITB is a very interesting idea, and I'm very interested how it may turn out *CoughSwaggercashesinafterCenawinsatExtremeRulesCo ugh*. |

As for the other matches, I haven't actually seen any yet, but the results were all kind of predictable. Even so, there's word among many of my associates (read: a couple of friends) that this year's Taker/Michaels bout was the superior match, and that they did well to save it for last. I look forward to witnessing it for myself. EDIT: Michaels retirement was emotional for my whole family. Seriously, I'll miss him and all of the awesome stuff he did over the course of his career. I love that he's promised that he means it when he says he's done. I sort of doubt it still, because, well, as the audience aptly pointed out, "WOOOOO".... But I'm glad that they chose to let Shawn be Shawn and break the kayfabe barrier for one night. It was a touching farewell from the man himself, and it was all the better for him and the fans as well. Thanks, Shawn. Last edited by Galefore; 03-29-2010 at 10:24 PM. |

Cena-Batista was pretty good IMO, good back and forth and that attitude adjustment that Cena did on Batista was ****ing amazing. ALOT better than 1/2 the matches on the card. I admit, I don't really care about Cena that much but he does have SOME good matches. Money In The Bank - Once again, WWE disappoints me with the result of the match, they gave it to CM Punk 2x and then that time they gave it to Kennedy, pretty boring if you ask me, and it's kinda stupid since we all know Swagger is gonna cash it in after Cena's match at Extreme Rules I'm pissed off that Orton is making a face turn, Orton is one of the greatest heel's ever IMO, he did have some classic matches back in the day when he was the Legend Killer, I hope but they give him a heel turn after awhile but nice to see him getting some fan support I guess. Takers-Michaels - Well, once Taker and HHH are gone I think I'm pretty much done with this stuff. This match saved the night IMO, WM just ain't what it used to be to me, but they put on a show. |
