Viva Pinata - VGF

Has anyone else tried this out? It's really good. I mean, if you can look past the saccharine cuteness of the game, you've got a solid open-ended sim-type entertainment. It's kind of like 'Harvest Moon', except, rather than building up an agrarian empire and driving your competitors into bankruptcy so you can live fat off government subsidies, the idea is to build up a pleasant garden in order to attract living animal-shaped pinatas you can sell or breed. Also, you're allowed to beat a wide variety of cute little animals to death with a spade, or, if you're feeling lazy, you can just feed the little ones to the bigger ones. There's something indescribable about watching the happy little foxes stalk, kill and devour the little duckies--it's like watching the Discovery Channel filtered through a Dr. Seuss fever-dream. The graphics and sound are all there, the gameplay is rock-solid, and it's easily the most innovative game I've played in a month of Sundays. I highly recommend at least giving it a rental.
