When they first announced them, I ignored it, just sounded like a gimmick. But it wasn't more than a game or two before I was hooked. In fact, it changed the way I played games. Where once I would only play a game over and over again ONLY if it was really good, I now was replaying boring games just to unlock more. I even have caught myself trying to decide between playing the 360 or the Wii at night, and I'll skip Zelda just to try to get more acheivements. So Xbox get a strong hold on my gaming and what do they do? They screw with me by starting these Xbox Rewards challenges (prizes, including games, awarded for increases in achievements during set periods of time). So now I want the achievements to increase my gamescore, but I also am holding off from playing games so I have Achievements ready to unlock for the next contest.. Arrgg... What do you think? |

I don't go for the achivements, and neither do most of my friends. It's simply an ego thing, but a good one. |
