The Cube controller feel like you could snap it in those intense gaming moments(Like a particulary tough battle in Halo). |

| Guest | The GameCube controller. I have played Halo and in a tough battle the Xbox controller gets my fingers twisted and jammed up. However in a brilliant battle in SSBM the gamecube controller has such finesse its amazing. The only thing I dislike about the GCN's controller is where they placed the Z button. I have no problems reaching it or remembering where it is but I just wish somehow it could've been easier to get too like the N64's controller. |

| Guest | After having tried both controllers for a short period of time, I like the GameCube controller better. A tad small, but it's as (if not more) comfortable as the N64 controller. I don't like the shape/placement of the face buttons, though, and the d-pad sucks. The Xbox controller on the other hand, is a tad large, but feels very sturdy. The black and white button weren't easy reach and I had a hard time finding the position in which the controller is most comfortable to hold. I think I'll like the Japanese Xbox controller much better, from the looks I'd say it beats both the GCN and PS2 controller. |

I don't like the Gamecube controller for anything but internally developed titles. The layout is not made for anything outside of a Nintendo adventure game. S-controller is good and bad. I use it for sports only. The triggers are in horrible positions and the dual analogs are too close to use at the same time. It is almost a necessity for sport games however. Also, if you still use the D-pad for any games, this controller sucks. Original Xbox controller is decent for just about everything BUT sports and some fighting. I don't like how the buttons are made of extremely hard plastic and I don't like the face button angles, but the analog sticks are perfect for dual analogs and the triggers are perfect for trigger games. Only major flaw is the black and white buttons (but considering that the only functions they have are extremely minor its not that big of a deal). |

| Guest | Although they're both nearly the same, I'd say Gamecube, because the X-box has too many buttons. Also, the face buttons on the GC fit the thumb's motions perfectly. The X box's ae just like the SNES's except tiny and have two extra. The Gamecube's might seem small, but it's very durable. Trust me. The ball at the base of the control stick is 10 times bigger than the base of the n64's control stick, and it's made of good rubber. And, I might add, the second control stick on the Gamecube controller has a name (the C stick), so you won't get confused like you will with the Xbox. |

| Guest | GC controller better for sporting and fighting games??? are you kidding yourself? The Xbox controller is set up idealy for fighting and sport games(simple layout all the buttons close to eachother on top of the controller(arcade style)). While the GC controller is more for platformers, and adventure type games. The GC button layout fits the hands perfectly as long as you don't have gargantuine hands. I'm 19 and have no trouble at all with a GC controller. That goes with just about everyone else in my dorm hall who have all played my GC. As for the Xbox controller in which we also play sometimes everyone complains about the controller. Its just to clunky and takes forever to get used to. As for being able to break a GC controller try it. Mine have taken a beaten and still work like the day they came out of the box. Have some drunk incoharent students play multiplayer games. They get pissed and slam the controllers on everything. Durability isn't and issue both controllers can take a beating. Everyone let go back to elimetary school. Start counting.(1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8, yeah, you got the hang of it, I hope? For the sake of your poor teachers! Xbox 2 analog sticks, d-pad,2 trigers and 6 buttons(on the face of the controller) Thats 6 playable buttons(Good job i knew you could do it.) GC 2 analog sticks, d-pad, 2 trigers(2 function), A,B,Y,Xand Z (5 playable buttons) There is a 1 button difference. I included the black and white buttons on the xbox and the Z button on the GC wich are seldomly used in alot of games and totaly avoided in most games. So what it comes down to is 4 buttons. Wow even the PS2 has a basic 4 button layout. Sure the extra buttons are there but when do you use them? Seriously drop the number of button issue there is no lack of buttons. well unless your an excessive controll freak that loves to get frustrated smashing buttons. The biggest issue has got to be the way the controllers are held(comfertably or not) and button placement(Stupid practicaly useless buttons)such as out of reach black and white Xbox buttons, Gamecubes Small d-pad(Seriously who uses the d-pad outside of picmin and Rouge Leader)and the Z button that feels out of place, PS2 extra triger buttons. Every controller can be improved, but its beond me how some of the ideas aren't weeded out before development. |

PS2 controller beats them both with maximum button-reachability and overall simplicity. I don't have to think about what button to press when I have the PS2 controller, I automatically get it after a few minutes because of lack of extraneous buttons. PTG |
