XBox Names?

I figured if anyone could help me, it would be you guys. ^_^

About two weeks ago I turned on my XBox and the indicator light flashed red; assuming the RAM had locked up, my brother called Microsoft and we sent the XBox in to be repaired.

We got it back yesterday and the name had been changed; is there any way to change it back?

Ever played Halo? The console's name appears on the final screen while you're waiting for the game to begin, right above the Xbox in the upper left hand corner (which, /hopefully/, is yours. ^_^)

Most people suggest changing the Xbox's by playing Dead or Alive 3; I've been doing some research and some other titles seem to be cropping up here and there, but this seems to be the favorite. So I guess I'll have to try that.

Yeah, the only game I know is Dead or Alive 3. Get a rank on Survival mode and whatever name you put stays as the system name.

I've heard that your online tag is supposed to replace that, but my Live tag (x 2nd Opp x) has not replaced the one that I put in with DOA 3 (2nd Opp).

Well, I rented DOA3 and, as the high scores list was (unsurprisingly) vacant, I was able to change the name with minimal effort; it was excellent. ^_^ Thanks for the help. CABOOSE LIVES.

As for the second piece of information: I've never played XBox live, but that's useful-- I'll have to remember it. ^_^

You don't make a name, it's pre-programmed. I've heard you can change it in certain games, though.

I've heard that you can change it with Return to Castle Wolfenstein, although I haven't tried it.

i think you can change it in Cel Damage. Something to do with getting a high score...and...anyway i think Cel Damage is your guy for name changes.
