Because there is an upgraded model that is easier to get than a Nintendo Wii, and has been around longer?

That's like asking why the Game Boy Advance and GameCube are becoming obsolete with newer better systems available. (I would say PS2, but Japan's got PS2 games being launched until Xmas)

It doesn't matter anyway. While the 360's backwards compatibility isn't pristine, it's good enough. I only have one game that isn't BC, Matrix: Path of Neo. And that's because it wasn't that popular. The only reason th Xbox is dying is because the 360 works just fine.

I scoff at the 360's so-called 'Backwards Compatibility'. You can play Barbie Horse Racing Adventure on the 360, but not Knights of the Old Republic 2.
