First kill the turrets. Then guide the energy ball to the collector. This will activate a moving platform that will allow you to reach the lower room, which contains a button that extends the ramp-door-jobber again. Use crazy gravity-assisted flingery to get across to the upper room.

There you have it. Like stealing a quail's egg.

That way requires awesome timing, since you can't jump and hit the button for the catcher.

Feh. What, you cats have something better to do than to try a puzzle out a couple times to get the timing down? Jiminy. I must lead a less active lifestyle or something.

But I'm still mad at myself for not coming up with my strategy sooner. Took me 3 days to think of it. After that, I shot straight to Glados and the end of the game.

Good news everyone! I have beaten Portal. *hooray* *cheers*

Ya see, I'd knock over each turret, then retreat back into the wall and repeat. Then after all the turrets were gone, I'd make a portal on the stick out wall, rush back to the button ledge, drop off, and the rest as they say, is history.

My opinions on the game itself? Well,

It is a triumph. I'm making a note here: Huge Success! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Oh, and a final thought:

I'm still alive.
And believe me, I'm still alive.
When you're dying, I'll be still alive.
When you're dead, I'll be still alive.

Now who wants cake? It's so delicious and moist.
