| So, I finally unwrapped my Xbox and pushed Fable into it. Good game albeit very short... crazy side-quests, like getting your Hero married!! *giggles* Not once, not twice, but three times. *cough* I knocked back Lady Grey with good reason... MURDERESS!!! And, I'm addicted to manipulating time... I could so go that in other RPG's. The rescuing of mumsy meant I got to meet the Kraken!! I knew one of those lakes/ water sources had something with tentacles!! Grrr... Most amusing part to me was the Arena... dratted Scorpion making me scream. GAAAH!!! I adore the Undeads. Aren't they ca-ute?! Anyways, anyone else played and have an opinion on this game? ![]() | |

It should be at the Platinum price level ($19.95 USD) and has Elder Scrolls III and both of the PC expansions. The sidequests and faction quests in that game put anything else to shame, as well as the (very bizarre) ability to backdoor the game by essentially killing one of the gods (its true, but hard) and demolishing the main quest. You don't have the marriage thing, though you can customize everything about your character. Its a good RPG fix. |

Been playing it (on and off) for at least two years and I still find new things. If there weren't as many bugs, it'd be practically perfect. |

And I couldn't get to the next quest without completing that one, so basically I was screwed out of progressing in this particular faction after it was already too late to join another one. The level of glitches and slowdown in that game is really hard to deal with, not to mention the five minute loading times. I'd recommend the PC version though, apparentally all of these are easily fixed on that, it looks better, and it comes with a construction set, so there's a big modding community out there that have created new weapons, quests and locations that are easily added. I'm going that route as soon as I get a decent PC. |

The people can seem a little lifeless, though. I think it's because of the way you just pick from topics in a list instead of having a more traditional conversation. Anyway, I think it's true about the PC version being better. I had some trouble with it, though. Got it to run on my PC with integrated video and only 256MB RAM. Played fine for several hours. But eventually, it would crash every 30 or 40 minutes, and I'd have to restart the PC each time. Went back to the Xbox version after that. I've since upgraded to 512MB RAM, but I don't feel like buying the game again to see if it works any better. |
