Has anyone seen the new Perfect Dark pictures?

Hmm.. I'm pretty disapointed with the graphics. I thought this generation was going to be a major leap from the last, but this doesn't look like much of an improvement. Granted, it's still early, and graphics don't matter all that much, but I'm not too excited about it yet.

And why are the first three images the exact same thing, as well as 5 and 6?

Hey Codie, why don't you e-mail 1Up and ask them...

The character models seem to be a lower graphics level than the rest of the objects. Textures look good, lighting seems alright, but those characters look like they could be done on the current Xbox.

When I first saw that soldier in the first picture, I immediately thought "Master chief!" I realized that was his face, not a faceplate, but still. Also, the very last picture is a TOTAL rip off from the second level of Halo 2, other than the fact that it's an arabian environment.

Um, do you mean in that it's a shooter game that it's a ripoff? Pretty much every FPS would look the same if it weren't for different engines.

What he means is that's almost a complete recreation of a part of Halo 2.

I just saw the Killzone 2 video, and it's about a bajillion times better-looking than this. Rare better improve the graphics a lot in the next 6 months.

I read somewhere that the levels in the game are supposed to be enormous, supporting something like 50 people in a multiplayer game. So maybe that's why there's not as much detail as you'd expect.

I heard, I think it was Tycho from PA, or maybe some other random point, that screen-shots, in this day and age, cannot bring justice to a game anymore. The stills take away from the quality of the game in motion, so I remember.

Read IGN's impressions of the game. Those are apparently taken from an extremely early build, but the one that they played is the best looking Xbox 360 game so far.
