No, this is not mine, but, I found it on IGN, a great theory. The theory: In OoT, if I recall correctly, the Sheikah were supposed to work for the Hylians and/or the Hylian Royal Family, and most of them supposedly died in the war prior to OoT. It was also said that they founded Kakoriko Village, and that Impa was the leader of the village. But what if not all of them died? What if some were somewhere other than Hyrule, now that the war has ended? Or did they leave for some other purpose? In TMC, the Wind Tribe left their original home to live on the clouds, supposedly because the have bonded with the wind(or something along the lines of that). Is it possible that the Sheikah are in a similar situation? Are the living in the shadows, where others won't see them? In TP, there are some eye symbols, like in most other Zelda games. The notable ones are the one on Zelda's cloak, and the other on Midna's helm. The one on Zelda's cloak is obviousl the Sheikah symbol, but the mark on Midna's helm is said to be either Vaati's symbol or not a symbol at all, but a part of Majora's mask. I'm still unsure about it, but I think it's possible that it's some kind of Sheikah artifact or something. Either that or part of one of the statues from TWW's Tower of the Gods. While Link is in his wolf form, he can see things he could not have noticed before. It might just be some kind of animal senses or something, but is there a possibility that there could be more to it? Could Link's wolf form allow him to see the truth, similar to how the Lens of Truth was used? My point is that the Twilight Realm could have been created by a Sheikah, either an evil Sheikah or a possesed one. Perhaps the name "Twilight Realm" means that Hyrule isn't full taken over, but will be unless someone saves it. If nobody does, then it might become the "Dark Realm", or something similar like the "Shadow Realm", relating to the Sheikah. One more thing: Zelda could have been trained in the was of the Sheikah by her mother, who could be the Zelda from OoT. If that were true, someone from inside of an Evil Realm could posses her and use her magic to destro Hyrule(plus Zelda has a blue jewel as opposed to her ussual red one, as seen from the official artwork(in which she also carries a sword)). And if not that, then here's one more crazy theory slightly related to this: After trying to find out what the Hylian's symbol means, I've decided to look at the Sheikah's symbol. One single eyeball with a single tear drop below, while three seperate triangles hover above, suposedly the Triforce seperated into three peices. In OoT, Sheik told Link a legend that the Sheikah passed down: if one of impure heart touches the Triforce, the Triforce will seperate into three peices: Courage, Power, and Wisdom. The one of impure heart would keep the one he most desires, while the other two go to people who desire them most. If the one of impure heart wants to be the true ruler, he would have to find the others with the Triforce Peices in order to get the True Force(es, Sheik did in fact call it that at least once in OoT). If I am not mistaken, after Ganondorf touched the Triforce, he was left with the Triforce of Power. He then destroyed Hyrule Castle Town, replacing it with a town filled with ReDeads, and remade Hyrule Castle into his own. Is it possible that the legend passed down by the Sheikah was actualy supposed to be some kind of forseeing? What I mean is, did the Sheikah know it was going to happen? If the Sheikah can see the truth, can they see the future? I think that the Sheikah symbol is the same thing: a forseeing of the future; when the balance is broken, there will be chaos, thus the tear under the eye in the Sheikah symbol. But this creates a problem; at the end of OoT, the Triforce is still split, but Ganondorf is stuck in the Sacred Realm, not being able to wreck havoc. Perhaps the Twilight Realm isn't created b an person or thing, but by there not being a balance, much like how in OoA, Symmetry Cit is bothered by eruptions and earthquakes when there is not perfect balance. |

In OoT, Zelda was posing as a 'boy' named Sheik. Essentially, given that the name is conveniently a derivative of the name of the race, you don't think that she could have, in truth, been inventing the entire Sheikah race altogether? |

I would think there has to be some sort of gameplay component to it though. Maybe Link needs to be a wolf to get places he couldn't otherwise, as he's a wanted man? Who knows, we'll have to wait for E3. |
