A great documentary on Zelda I found on youtube...

Some of you have probably seen this before, but I found it highly entertaining. After the last part, I finally understand what the "split" theory is.

Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4
Part 5
Part 6

It ends up being about 55 minutes long, but if you have the time, it's an entertaining refresher.

I invented the split theory.

Well, not really. But I did come to the conclusion myself way before it was popular.

I personally dislike the split theory.

I hate the split theory. Instead of watching something, I end up clicking to find the next part, THEN watching.

I am also not a fan of the split theory, but theirs does make sense.

I'm usually rather open to consider all theories, but any theory which places the two Oracle games in different timelines is just a stone's throw away from completely and utterly wrong.

I've never cared much about the timeline theories, but the overview in parts 1-5 was absolutely brilliant.

I'm not passionate about timeline theories, as you can probably tell from the one I posted. I have a theory, but I won't rip someone's head off over it.

Their split theory is great until they screw with the Oracle games like that. It's obvious that the games are right after each other, depending on which you play first. If you play OoS and then OoA, you see Suberiosans in Goron City. Stuff like that.
