Whenever I find him and try to take a pic, all I see is a red cloud, I can't see his face, and then after that I get sucked in. Can someone please tell me how?

^Yup, I got a pic of just the cloud and he accepted! I would bring a backup just in case though. (My backup had a teensy bit of the head showing)

It's safer to take a shot then let him suck you up. It's better if you meet him in the Northern Trinagle island because it only knocks you south west on square.
