Huh uhh, I make Zelda the motion picturah! I make millions off stupid-ah parents, they bring their kids to see it! I so smart! I just have Korean animators draw slanted eyes and buck teeth on Rink!!! Huh huh uhh! I have many gooks for voice over in movie. I even make Tingre character in movie tell children that being ah-homosexual, it Oooo Kaaaay! Ha ha, I make American kids dress in tights, then send pictograph of them to me, Shigeru Miyamoto!
By da way, everyone don’t go to Mike Petah fanfiction topic in this forum. His story about mature Zelda very bad! You must listen to Miyamoto, you like what I tell you, you hate what I tell you! Hate Mike Petah fanfic, he going to put me out of business with his message of right! Damn him Mike Petah, damn him.

Stop it with your blatent advertising, Mike. Even without an IP check (and knowing you using this account in the past) it's obvious it's you.

I'd rather have a really well produced Zelda game than a really well produced movie.. besides, movies only last for 2 hours.

Games to movies have sucked because they don't have the right people directing them.

If you want to have a good Zelda movie, have a die hard Zelda fan direct it.
That and that alone is all you need.

Nope, that would suck even worse because all they'd want is to bring back stuff from the games. Movie direction requires years of specialized training, and the sort of person who does this tends to be the creative type with all sorts of ideas. A video game enthusiast would never go through all that just to make a video game movie. A real movie director wants to make many movies in his lifetime, and is unlikely to involve himself in a project like studying Zelda for years to make sure he gets it 'just right' for the fanbase. Movie creativity is a special thing. Movies require things games don't.

Worse yet, you could end up with someone like... oh, never mind.

But like I said, a movie script writer unfamiliar with the series would go too far and try to change too much.

What you're thinking of is have a die-hard Zelda fan as an advisor and script-checker. But by NO means should they be allowed to WRITE it.

Only one person in a billion would be capable or writing a good Zelda movie, and I'm going to hedge my bets here and assume we'd never find that person among the millions of total chowderheads who would be applying.

I'd be applying. And I could do it.
I'm a great writer, and I'm not an uber-fanboy.
Plus, I'm excellent at adaptation.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

I'm a good film critic. Give me a brief plot synopsis and characters and a few big cinematic moments in your movie.

I haven't started on it yet, and I won't be able to for a little while.

I can definitely tell you three of the characters' names, though. (hint, hint)

I believe Zelda would work much better as an serialized animated series (like all anime and some american cartoons, like the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 'toon) since the fetch-quest aspect present in every Zelda game cannot be translated to the big screen properly, at least not easily. What type of movie do have in mind, Spotlight?

Personally, I think a good transition to either the silver or small screen is highly unlikely, at least in the U.S. . Movies are much too short; a live action series would be too costly; an animated series would be "sanitized" for the children, therefore raped (since Link wouldn't be able to use his sword, bow, bombs, etc.), at least not directly. Our only option is Japan.

Edited to correct errors, and to put Spotlight's name in lower cases.
