Not that I care about anyone believing in this, I myself don't care about it since I no longer like Zelda, but I just wanted to show that the OLT can take a lot more than you can dish out.

Myamoto has gone and killed the series by saying there is a different Link in almost every game. So I guess what the creator says is absolute, but this doesn't mean that Myamoto's theory is the best, most believable, or makes the most sense.

Now then on with the theory. The thorn in the side of the OLT that everyone believes to really be a sharp edged spear, in reality is nothing more than a tiny splinter. The one thing that Myamoto made a mistake on was having Wind Waker take place in a future time frame that never existed. You head right friends, the water world of Wind Waker never came to be. Here's the proof.

At the end of OoT Link was sent back to the original timeline of Hyrule. Once he was there he closed the road between times and erased that timeline from existence.
In Wind Waker, the world is flooded after one hundred years or so of time passing. That timeline and the timeline that Link erased are one and the same.

So logically, Wind Waker's future is what WOULD HAVE BEEN if Link had chosen not to return to the proper timeline. If he had stayed, that timeline would have stayed true and Wind Waker would have happened(assuming that Link would have LET the world be covered in water).

So, there you have it. Wind Waker is what Hyrule would have been IF Link had chosen to stay in the future of OoT. Since he did not, that timeline, along with all those stupid characters and world of water, and the ruined Temple of Time, never existed.

Ha, some game Wind Waker turned out to be.

Get a nightlife.

^The point is that Mikey doesn't know how to appreciate a hypothetical situation.

The other point is that he finds some inane need to keep coming here even though he says he no longer likes Zelda.

And remember, "I'm-a Luigi, number one!"

My point is that the OLT would have made more sense, been more believable, and would have been more entertaining and possibly more mature.

I must have missed something. Why does Mikey not like Zelda?

I hope it wasn't the graphics, but I get the sneaking suspicion that it is since Mikey said,

So what if it's more mature? Who cares? Zelda is not some kind of dark, brooding franchise. And besides that, worrying about the supposed maturity of the games you play is itself not a very mature activity.

The problem with this proposed "theory", which is actually more along the lines of an unsupported hypothesis, is that it was never stated that Link erased the other timeline. For all intents and purposes, it's still there, and so is everythign else - except for him.

What a loser theory. It gets worse with every incarnation.

The voices of reason have spoken. It's time for you take crap somewhere else Mikey. If you no longer care about Zelda there's no reason for you to post here. Why don't you go to a LOTR message board instead and be with other people who think darkness=maturity.

....Okay, Mike? I'm going to say these things to you as a friend. I want to help.

1) Stop coming here if you don't like Zelda.
2) Stop complaining about Wind Waker just because you don't like the graphics. Nobody wants to hear your incessant *****ing. It's very annoying.
3) Stop snorting crack. It's messing with your head, which would explain why you're making up all of these "theories."

Good bye. So long. Adios.
