The Shadow Temple was more of a venture into an underground cavern than an actual quest. The Fire Temple was like an Indiana Jones movie. That temple was like an adventure within itself. Plus it had the side quest of freeing the Gorons. The Spirit Temple was like exploring the history of an archeological dig, and defeating creatures that guarded doors and paths. The Water Temple was just a complete mind game. Yielding only to the sharpest minds. The Forest Temple was the only temple that even looked like a temple. This was like a mystical exploration of the ruins of a temple. The ghosts were a nice way to convey this setting. Get a nightlife. |

The only difference is that the Spirit Temple didn't have traps like buzz saws and stuff, and it didn't have a chameleon bridge. The wall that moves with the spikes on the sides in the temple is a good Jones trap though. Too bad you can pass it by simply Long-shooting it. Get a nightlife. |

One time, when I was young, I wandered around in the ruins of this old cathedral. Obviously it wasn't nearly as elaborate as a Zelda dungeon, but it was late at night and it was SO COOL. It reminded me a lot of the Forest Temple. [ December 13, 2003, 03:34 PM: Message edited by: El Barto ] |
