Let me start off by saying that you people do not know what the hell y'all are talking about! Since when was it a crime, no a SIN, to hate Wind Waker? Just because he chooses not cherish one game out of a great series, that suddenly makes him no longer fan? Nevermind that he's played every game up until WW. NEVERMIND that he's loved each of them, until WW. There are alot of Star Wars fans who hated Episode 1. There are Jurassic Park fans who think the movie series should've ended at 1. But no one comes up to them and questions their loyalty. And yet, because of ONE game, you people would openly ridicule and alienate a fellow Zelda fan, just his opinions are different from yours? You say he's prejudice against Wind Waker when IN FACT, he actually gave the game a chance. But of course you people won't have none of that and would soon throw him to the wolfi then to hear his side of the story. I dunno, but it seems more like Mikey should be the one with the flame thrower around around here.

I mean, c'mon! Wake up PEOPLE! "Not everyone hates Wind Waker?" Well, not everyone loves it either. I do, despite the fact it was way too short and very anti-climatic. But I'd be damned if I will cram my opinions down the throat of someone else who didn't share my euthiasm.

^Wait. I'm OK with Mikey. I see where he was coming from on Wind Waker, and I agree with most of his points. (Except on cel-shading of course. [img]tongue.gif[/img] ) It was too short, there wasn't enough land, and I'm pretty annoyed at not having a great Credits sequence at the end to watch.

But I'm getting pretty tired of him going on and on about these faults in just about every topic he makes.

I'm not a major fan of the 'childish' turn Zelda has taken in more recent years, but that IN NO ****ING WAY MEANS I WOULD EVER BUY A DAMN MADDEN GAME, MUCH LESS RATE IT HIGHER THAN EVERY OTHER GAME TO DEBUT THIS YEAR.

Thank you very much for your high level of integrity; that you should ever indicate that a football videogame deserves a top slot in any other category than sports.

I see nothing wrong with the Pop Culture disliking Wind Waker, although I doubt that Spike TV can be taken too seriously. They clearly picked the games which they felt represented their demographics best.

But at any rate, it doesn't matter if Pop Culture likes us or not. They can have their utterly derivative football games, and we can have art. Nintendo just needs enough popularity to remain profitable enough to be able to make more games.

No, it wasn't because Star Wars was better. It was because this was Spike TV's target audience (total jocks who rarely play games at all) making the decisions.

Bottom line: It is impossible to do a Video Game Award Show correctly.

They think Zelda, Sonic, Mario and the like "SUCK". The only like racing games and football and shooters (to an extent), as well as crappy third party games.

My conclusion? Said demographic voted for this show. Logically, this is the consensus of those with IQs of 40, and thus, is COMPLETELY irrelevant to what games deserve what awards.

Furthermore, 'Mikey', you appear to be one of them. What you say is also COMPLETELY irrelevant to the situation. That is all.

Madden NFL 2004 won game of the year...and yet it didn't even win it's own category (that went to T.H.U.G.). Ummm yeah, good job there Spike TV voters. Hearing that was enough to make me swear off the awards as pure crap.

Mikey, Your opinion is your own and no one always thinks the same as you. I mean, I am not glad that WW was beaten by a sports game, but who cares? Did it kill the game? Did it tore down Hyrule and send the CD into the fire? Alot (Yes, I mean so) of people likes Wind Waker. So that 'award' show is the same match up to a poop slinging monkey, which means it seem odd that loser games can win big awards.

Like the others said, Mikey, in EVERY single post you make you have to talk about how much Wind Waker "sucks", We know you hate it, and I'm sure we won't forget that if you don't mention it all the time.

Good games don't need perfect graphics. Really all a video game needs is graphics good enough to distinguish betweeen characters. I am actually against mazingly realistic graphics in most games because it betrays what video games are supposed to be: Fantasy. In short, good graphics are an added bonus.

Mikey, I'm sorry for being rude. You know I agree with you on many of your points about Windwaker, it's when you turn every topic into a bashing of the game that makes fun of every other member here and then create entire topics for it that it gets out of hand.
Your entitled to your own free choice of course, just please stop insulting and antagonizing the other members who don't agree with you. That is not the way to meet new people or make friends.
