Maybe, what game could deserve a remake into being 3D (not counting the last three Zelda 3D titles)? If you could describe, that would be great as well. And, based on the same question, what kind of style would it be? And, what would you want to happen if it WERE made 3D? I'd remake A Link to the Past. I loved this game to death, and think it was a lot better than anything Ocarina of Time dished out. The Dark World was a little anti-dark, and the bunny Link was slightly overdone (pink?? -_-; . But to see it re-amped into a 3D environment (without hampering with the story, of course...). I'd make the dungeons longer, and maybe put a little more character development in the storyline. As for the style, it being cell shaded would be cool, but not in a childish way. If the characters still kept a believable proportion I'd be in a doozy. ^.^ And maybe make Ganon a little more big and bad like the nemises he is. More side quests. Oh yeah, and for the game that needed more work... I'd say, Ocarina of Time. Character development is very shallow in this game, and the only ones you really see changing are Zelda, Sheik, and Ganondorf. The world of Hyrule fast approaching doom would have involved more people. Not to say it was a crappy game, this is the second favorite Zelda title I have! And putting a little more originality into the dungeons (much of it was the same kind of puzzle from previous games). And the ending...*shudders* |

Adventure of Link (It's the only non-3D Zelda that would work in 3D, in my opinion.) 3. Realistic, to an extent 4. Uh... not sure what it was asking, so I said Ocarina of Time. |

It should be 3-D and the world should be larger. It should also break free from the right-angled appearence and have more of a defined land formation. 3. Realistic to an extent. It shouldn't be as realistic as what I think Zelda should be like now, but no less than OoT. Link should breath heavily, but not need to stop. The Pegasus Boots do all the work anyway, so in that sense it should be more "unbelievable". The world should be darker though and the dungeons should be larger. Link's transformation should be something better than a bunny, like a fox or a dog. 4. You should have put in an option here to say that the person already voted for one of the above in question 2. Get a nightlife. |

The Legend of Zelda - I know it was probably the game of its time, but I have trouble knowing what to do next. It's like they expect you to find your way to the next temple. While searching for the second, I stumbled upon the fifth, and while searching for the first, I found the third. I need direction! A blank, gray rectangle with a yellow speck is not a very powerful map... 2D -> 3D? LttP, of course. But it's just as loveable as it is... Realistic or Cel? Doesn't really matter to me... Why the hell should you listen to me? Uh, I just put OoT. I understand not the question... [ December 15, 2003, 03:06 PM: Message edited by: SaraLyn ] |

Sorry, I can't only choose one. [ December 15, 2003, 03:05 PM: Message edited by: A.I. will KILL the INFADELS ] |

It's just that there's too much sailing for my liking, and there isn't enough interesting (and big enough) islands in the game. 2. Link's Awakening. It would be interesting to see how a game like this could work out. 3. Cell shading, but with the right proportions and believable environment. I just think that this style matches the game, especially for Animal Village. 4. I didn't understand, so I just said Wind Waker. |

I dig the somewhat Megaman style of gameplay, but the insane amount of difficulty has only merited one playthrough for me. 2 and 3. I'd like to see Adventure of Link remade as a semi-realistic game. It had possibly the darkest story of any Zelda game and a pretty good one for a game of that time. 4. Ocarina of Time with enhanced graphics would be Godly. |

| Newbie Join Date: Sep 2001 Location: texas Gender: Posts: 4 Thanks: 2 Thanked 3 Times in 2 Posts | Wind Waker. I wouldn't touch the graphics. Love 'em. Might twinked Link's character design a bit. Made him at least 14. But some real major changes I would make would be the map and alot of the plots. First off, Great Fish Island would'nt have been destroyed. In fact, I would have it be imnhabited by Gerudo Pirates (the rivals Tetra spoke of that once inhabited Forsaken Fortress). They took refuge at this island after Ganon took over their home island and now live in a makeshift fortress made of old ship parts. After being taken prisoner by some of patrol boats, their leader (who has an uncanny resemblance to Nabooru) strikes a deal to let you visit the local water god, Jabun, if you gather some secret treasure from Tetra's ship, which was being docked at Windfall. Anyways, you get the treasure like you would normally do and you give it to the Gerudo pirates. That's when you discover the treasure was a bunch of bombs which they planned on using to bomb the entrace into Jabun's sanctuary. Realizing this, you immediately follow inside and have to cross watery dungeoun (harder than the previous two) in a race to get to Jabun first. The pirate leader gets there first of course and summons a huge water-elemental beast (possibly a mecha gyorg) for you fight. After the fight, the pirate leader comes after you with her sword but out of the water comes Jabun who swallows the pirate in one gulp and sends her flying into sky in a watery eruption. Afterwards, Jabun thanks you for saving him from the pirates or whatever and hands you Nayru's Pearl. Now this all does several things. First of all, it adds another dungeon which by all right SHOULD have been there and it adds a whole chunk of storyline that would have made the game seem more complete. Also, it opens a possibility for another temple later on in game as well as a third sage (rival pirate leader=sage of sea). I could go on but I just up and decided to make a fanfic/online journal about it. XD [ December 19, 2003, 10:40 PM: Message edited by: Mikey Jr., that way I'm still MJ ] |
