| Senior Member Join Date: Jun 2000 Location: Hyrule Castle Gender: Posts: 6,128 Thanks: 35 Thanked 14 Times in 10 Posts | Return of the Zelda Add-On Story It must be two years since we last wrote one of these. For those of you who weren't here or don't remember, here's how it works: we each add chapters to an ongoing story. A chapter can be as short as a sentence or as long as...well, please don't make it too long. Typical length has been about a word-processor page. You can use Zelda characters (we've usually stuck to Ocarina of Time, which most of us know, but characters from other games, even non-Zelda games, have made cameos...after all, it is OUR story), or create your own. But if you choose to create a character, it helps the other writers for you to give a brief description of the character*. The rules: 1. Please avoid content inappropriate for people under 17. Violence and references to sex are inevitable; you don't have to write as if your mom is reading over your shoulder. But, please, not everyone in this forum is of age...and some of us are eating... 2. Your character is your property. Yet understand other people are going to use your character in their chapters. If they make your character do something way out-of-character, let them know. But don't be too controlling. A big part of the fun is seeing how the story unfurls with everyone's help. 3. No racism, sexism, discrimination, etc. Unless a character is supposed to be bigoted. But if that's the case, be clear it's the character, not the writer, who is bigoted. *SUGGESTION FOR CHARACTER BIOGRAPHY NAME: SEX: AGE: SPECIES: OCCUPATION: HAIR: SKIN: EYES: SHAPE (height, weight, distinguishing features): CLOTHING: LOCATION: PERSONALITY: MOTHER: FATHER: SIBLINGS (if any): SPOUSE(S) (if any): CHILDREN (if any): BRIEF HISTORY: SYMBOL: Last edited by Princess Zelda of Hyrule; 09-04-2007 at 08:47 PM. |

Gender: Posts: 5,783 Thanks: 7 Thanked 195 Times in 124 Posts | And you thought PZoH's character histories were sad. ^1960s? Trains? In Hyrule? NAME: Auron (real name is unknown) SEX: Male AGE: Stopped counting at 18 SPECIES: Daemon OCCUPATION: None HAIR: Brown, short SKIN: Caucasian EYES: Dark blueish-violet, sort of unnatural looking SHAPE (height, weight, distinguishing features): 5' 9", fit looking. CLOTHING: Black leather armor, black gloves, dark red shirt, red bandanna, black pants. LOCATION: No permanent residence anymore. PERSONALITY: Used to be outgoing and friendly, is now reserved and very distant. Doesn't speak much to people other than Fia. Seems cold on the outside but is trustworthy and caring once you break his shell. Is equally profficient at swordfighting and alchemy, but prefers to use his sword. MOTHER: Elizabeth FATHER: Jonathan SIBLINGS: Older brother (Alexander), younger sister (Priscilla) GIRLFRIEND: Fia CHILDREN: None BRIEF HISTORY: (Brief? Pfft, yeah right. You wouldn't understand the character if you didn't know everything.) Auron is one of the only two surviving members of a race of people known as Daemons. Daemons are a race of people known for they're unnaturally long life (think elves from LotR) and they're ability to manipulate elements (think alchemy, equivalant exchange, etc.). Due to they're extrodinary talents, they secluded themselves off from the rest of the world to avoid any confrontation with regular people. But Auron was different. He couldn't stand to stay living in the same place for years and years. He broke his people's taboo and decided to travel around for a couple monthes after he turned 18. This decesion of his ultimately saved his life. When the three Goddesses bestowed upon the land the power of the Triforce, people began searching for it so they could acheive there dreams of wealth, power and immortality. Many people had believed, including the King of Hyrule himself, that that was given to the Daemons, which would have explain why they were how they were. So the king, out of envy, sent his army to the village of the Daemons, ordering them to slaughter everyone, man, woman, and child, and to bring back the Triforce. The Daemons, knowing that they could easily defeat the soldiers, realized that if they fought back, people would regard them as savages and more kingdoms would come to Hyrules aid. So they let theselves fall. About a week after the slaughter, Auron returned home to tell his family of his visits, only to find that his hometown had been destroyed and almost everyone he knew had been killed. The only survivor he found in the entire village was a girl named Fia. Although she was seriously injured during the onslaught, she managed to survive, and with Auron's help and care, she made a full recovery. Ever since then, Auron and Fia have traveled together, searching for a reason for their existance. *On a side note, Auron and Fia are not their birthnames, rather they are the names they adopted after the tragedy, so they could try to put their past behind them. **On another side note, Auron secretly blames himself for what happened that day, thinking that he is the reason people knew about the Demons. He is wrong to think this though, because the reason the king knew about his people was because he sent out hired mercenaries across the lands to find out clues to the Triforces whereabouts, and by chance, one found out about the village. SYMBOL: His sword, Arcaos. NAME: Fia (pronounced Fee-a) (real name is unknown) SEX: Female AGE: Same as Auron SPECIES: Daemon OCCUPATION: None HAIR: Green, long SKIN: Caucasian EYES: Dark blueish-violet, sort of unnatural looking SHAPE (height, weight, distinguishing features): 5' 7" CLOTHING: White and green clothing LOCATION: No permanent residence anymore PERSONALITY: Quiet and shy. Does not talk much around people she doesn't know, but is more outgoing about her feelings than Auron. Is also relatively cheerful and optimistic, despite past events. Remarkably profficient with magic and alchemy and also has decent ability to wield a sword. MOTHER: Faris FATHER: Soreno SIBLINGS: Older brother Matthew BOYFRIEND: Suron CHILDREN: None BRIEF HISTORY: Fia is one of the only two surviving members of a race of people known as Daemons. Fia is the only survivor of the masscre at the village of the daemons. Her relationship with Auron before the attack was a lot more of a casual friendship. they each knew who each other was and who they're family's were, but that was not uncommon within the Daemon's realtively small community. After the attack on the village, she was nursed back to health by Auron, and the two have stuck together ever since. Over the years they've been together, the level of trust, honesty, and friendship between the two have grown remarkably, to the point where they're always together and they understand each so much that they never fight or argue. Between the two, the word 'love' is never spoken, but the feeling is there and they know it. *On a side note, Fia has no recollection of the attack at all, so neither she, nor Auron know who destroyed their people. SYMBOL: Her magic sword, Fenciere. |

| Condescending Film Jerk | I was describing the character Yuddy from the movie Days of Being Wild, who I sadly can relate to the worst parts of myself. Actually, I have a tendency toward relating to characters from Wong Kar Wai films... perhaps that's why he's my favorite director. |

Pretty sure it stops being a spoiler after a movie's been around for more than forty years. (Interestingly enough, that scene didn't use any special effects; Akira Kurosawa had a crew of archers firing actual arrows at Toshiro Mifune. The two of them agreed to do this in order to make Mifune's portrayal of terror more genuine.) __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

Ashes of Time and Fallen Angels would be the two main exceptions. Oh, and I guess As Tears Go By, but that was before Wong Kar Wai started making the types of movies he's best known for. But now that we've totally deviated from the topic... | |
