I feel like the Gerudo have a bit of an advantage on the current map, and so do the Zora, because there are fewer hexes from which their main base may be attacked in a single round.

^Fair enough. I note also that, on the current map, some races have a starting territory that's connected solely to their other starting territories, which might make it more difficult for those races (Hylians, Undead, and Zora, I believe) to bring their forces to bear quickly. Minor considerations, but I'll fix them both as we get closer to Zero Hour.

Those little differences aren't bad - actually you could play on them by subtly giving advantages or disadvantages (which ultimately balance out) base on starting territories. Depth, Boo! It's depth but it's so simple.

Depth good. Boo like depth.

(EDIT: I've altered my sig so that it actually has something to do with HW now. Also, it now leads to this topic, and not to the old closed one. Crazy like a fox.)

You're a gentleman and a scholar, Boo. I'll read these when I get home from work (considering that they'll probably take forever to get through).

^Feh. It's just two PM's, sweetheart. Anyhow, you might could even be better off just reading through the last round. You know, see things evolve on the fly and all. Some neat OG, too. That is, if my terrible uncouthness and debasement hasn't knocked your monocle off, causing it to shatter on the cobblestones. (Honestly, kid.)

Hey Boo:

Do you have PowerPoint? I've got a nice PowerPoint version of the map almost done, and it might allow for easier updates on your part.

If not, I'll just probably update my own local copy as everything unfolds.

^^You totally should. Have you read through the (stickied) original? Aside from some minor drama and a few stupid oversights on my part, it should paint a pretty good picture as to how the War works. It also makes for some entertaining reading, if I'm any kind of judge.

The real question, of course, which assumes you're familiar with the basic format--if you do play, would you prefer to General or Freelance, or even just hang around and roleplay? All three are possible (the first one less so, but if you're really keen on it, I'm sure we could arrange something with one of the less gung-ho generals). So, think on it. The first 'Sign Up!' topic has something like the current rule set for both Generals and Freelancers alike. That also would be good to read through, if you can be bothered.

When I have a little more time (most likely tomorrow), I'll go through the original.

And yes, Blake, I'd be happy to work for the Hylians.
