You couldn't get more bad-ass than that. Still can't. I'd like to see Dark Link re-imagined in some way in the next Zelda game. Boo, do you remember about seven years ago when we had an argument about Z-Targeting? |

As I recall, my main talking point was something like, 'eh, Z-targeting castrates challenge', and then you were all 'ehh, Z-targeting allows you to constantly face the enemy, promoting realism', to which I replied 'ehhh, realism can eat me so hard!', and you said 'ehhhhhhhh, so can your mother', and then things got stupid(er). It was a real blueprint for our current co-moderatorial relationship. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president Last edited by Booyakasha; 02-21-2008 at 12:14 AM. |

I think Z-Targeting is still just the simplest solution to what was, at the time, an otherwise insurmountable problem: how to hit airborne enemies with projectile weapons. While not being killed, anyway. Things were simpler in Link to the Past. But not in the first one. |

'How to hit airborne enemies with projectile weapons, while wearing a straitjacket', I'll assume you mean. Or perhaps 'while playing OoT with your feet'. __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

That's because I've never played a Zelda game without it. SO ANYWAY. BACK ON TOPIC. I remember it always made me sad re-visiting Kokiri Forest as an adult... since no one recognizes you. |

I've been TRYING to get my hands on other games. And failing. Anyway, back to OoT... uh... *dances to Bolero of Fire* |

That devil woman wants to weaken you and steal your man power for use in her wicked gynomancy. For crying out loud, think about baseball or something! __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president Last edited by Booyakasha; 02-21-2008 at 02:47 PM. |

At least buy OoA, OoS, LA, LttP, and Zelda I or II--all of which can usually be found at a Gamestop, or at the very least, Ebay. All those games on the GBA or GBC, total, will run you about $30 dollars. That's it. |

For now, my mom's kinda sick of going to Gamestop for me, since we went to three of them to get Wind Waker. >< Soooo. Back to OoT!! D:< ...The water temple can die. For my first... two playthroughs, I believe, I used a walkthrough for it. That and the shadow temple. Hell, I was a loserface. |

As anyone who's played Master Quest can tell you, oh my god. LIZALFOS GALORE. And I'm such a jumpy person... I scream when ANYTHING jumps out at me. Even if I KNOW IT'S THERE. So, I was in the Water Temple with my friend... I was being extra-careful, looking around corners before turning... I was walking. Nothing was there. OMFGLIZALFOSATTACKOMFGOMFGOMFGAAAAHHHHHHH!!!! ... Yeah, that temple is awesome. If only I could get past the room before Dark Link. |

| Senior Member | Eh, MQ wasn't so hard. Maybe it was because it was my first time going through OoT or something. Wait... Lizardfos are awesome, but Dinofos are cooler. |

Maybe that's just because I've memorized OoT's dungeons so much that a game using the same dungeons but completely different puzzles is more confusing than usual. Anywho... I remember when I was little I got the HELL scared out of me by the guillotines. Well, obviously ALL of the shadow temple creeped me out (ESPECIALLY DEAD HAND OMFG.), but the guillotines were the sole thing that used to scare me but no longer do. Everything else that once scared me... still does. >< Even that creepy ghost ship thingie. |
