OoT was great too, but when it started becoming overrated, that game lost its luster for me. LttP never really seemed that overrated so it remained a little gem for me. I loved the parallel worlds, and my favorite dungeon of all was Misery Mire. I seriously need to replay this game. <3 |

Basically, nearly every single game after that has subscribed to the LttP philosophy, albeit occasionally changing a few variables here and there to keep it fresh. It's because of this that I think the theory is generally true: No matter which game you start playing the Zelda franchise with, that game inevitably becomes your favourite game of the series. |

I also played LttP as one of my last Zelda games (on the GBA) and I must say I don't like it as much as most of the others. I expected it to be similar to LA and the Oracles, but it was much more similar to LoZ, I thought. My main gripe was that you could enter almost every dungeon from the start, there was no real quest to get to a dungeon. In some later games (MM is a prime example) it's almost as hard to get to a dungeon as it is to beat it. I also didn't like that all the dungeons used the same tune, because it made them feel more interchangeable to me. I think it really makes a considerable difference whether you played this one as a kid when it first came out, or after you've played 3D and handheld Zeldas. Maybe even more so than for other games. |

The medallions were some of the most impressive Zelda items ever. Ever. Oh, and pink-haired Link as well as... Pink Bunny Link. *Spoilered for CL. Don't know why, but I felt like I needed to. |

Although, the SNES version has a greater level of detail in the graphics as well as NOT BEING FULL OF HIDEOUS VOICE CLIPS. Hope you're really enjoying it. I loved how you could go in any dungeon from the start. It made it seem less videogamey, if you went somewhere wrong and got your ass kicked and couldn't get to the boss because you were lacking appropriate items, too bad! I make my own adventure, bitchiz. |

| Senior Member | ^ 2 & 3 were problems for me, although I had the most trouble in the room in Gannon's Tower where the floor is invisible. Although I've now forgotten how to get one of the Medallions. There's a heart piece where I thought it was. |

I had to go on the Select menu to figure out that you could pick up things with R. In the first room you have to pick up a jar with R... yeah, that was a problem. I have one more question. There are a lot of blocks that you push once and then they don't move again in any direction. What's the deal with the blocks? Or are they just like that to annoy me? ![]() |

| Senior Member | You have to move those blocks in certain directions so you can go places, I guess. |
