LttP? Pure awesome. OoT was great too, but when it started becoming overrated, that game lost its luster for me. LttP never really seemed that overrated so it remained a little gem for me. I loved the parallel worlds, and my favorite dungeon of all was Misery Mire.

I seriously need to replay this game. <3

LttP is certainly one of the best Zelda titles as it, for all intents and purposes, established and cemented the Zelda framework. Basically, nearly every single game after that has subscribed to the LttP philosophy, albeit occasionally changing a few variables here and there to keep it fresh. It's because of this that I think the theory is generally true: No matter which game you start playing the Zelda franchise with, that game inevitably becomes your favourite game of the series.

^ that's not quite true for me, as I played LoZ and AoL (not passing the first dungeon, though) before I played OoT, and that's my all time favourite.

I also played LttP as one of my last Zelda games (on the GBA) and I must say I don't like it as much as most of the others. I expected it to be similar to LA and the Oracles, but it was much more similar to LoZ, I thought. My main gripe was that you could enter almost every dungeon from the start, there was no real quest to get to a dungeon. In some later games (MM is a prime example) it's almost as hard to get to a dungeon as it is to beat it. I also didn't like that all the dungeons used the same tune, because it made them feel more interchangeable to me.

I think it really makes a considerable difference whether you played this one as a kid when it first came out, or after you've played 3D and handheld Zeldas. Maybe even more so than for other games.

You can't get out of Hyrule Castle? Have you beaten the Ball n' Chain guy yet and rescued Zelda? Where do you need help? I can help you out.

Or are you in the Eastern Palace? -CSM

Yeah, the Eastern Palace. Do I need a special item before entering it? Just answer that much.

Unless they changed things for the GBA version, you don't need to do anything to get in, although you should talk to Sahasrahla first. -cSM

Hehe... Awesome game indeed. The medallions were some of the most impressive Zelda items ever.

Ever. Oh, and pink-haired Link as well as...

Spoiler Below
Pink Bunny Link.

*Spoilered for CL. Don't know why, but I felt like I needed to.

Cool, CL. Although, the SNES version has a greater level of detail in the graphics as well as NOT BEING FULL OF HIDEOUS VOICE CLIPS.

Hope you're really enjoying it.

I loved how you could go in any dungeon from the start. It made it seem less videogamey, if you went somewhere wrong and got your ass kicked and couldn't get to the boss because you were lacking appropriate items, too bad! I make my own adventure, bitchiz.

Things that took me years to figure out in this game (Spoiler'd for CL)

Spoiler Below

How to get into Hyrule Castle (I didn't know you could pick up bushes; this was the second SNES game I played and my first Zelda)

How to get into the second half of the Desert Palace (I didn't think pushing a block would open a door)

How to get to where the Magic Hammer was (I didn't know you could push blocks into pits)

How to beat the goddamned Helmsaur King

How to beat Trinexx

How to get that Piece of Heart standing on the island in the clouds on Death Mountain

I probably had more dreams about this game than I did any other (except MAYBE OoT, although that was the same dream multiple times as supposed to many, many different dreams). -CSM

Spoiler Below
the room in Gannon's Tower where the floor is invisible.

Although I've now forgotten how to get one of the Medallions. There's a heart piece where I thought it was.

I always have a problem in the Eastern Palace. Only thing is, I never remember the thing that makes me stuck.

Haah, I had ALL Health class to play this game and I finally figured it out. I had to go on the Select menu to figure out that you could pick up things with R. In the first room you have to pick up a jar with R... yeah, that was a problem.

I have one more question. There are a lot of blocks that you push once and then they don't move again in any direction. What's the deal with the blocks? Or are they just like that to annoy me?

You have to move those blocks in certain directions so you can go places, I guess.

LttP can be deadly at early parts of the game.

You talked to...Salharawhatthehellishisname after completing the dungeon, correct?
