I remember when I first got this game for the SNES, it came with maps of the first three dungeons and this thing called "Top Secrets," which was weird and sort of FAQ-ish. I sorta consulted Top Secrets when I was lost. -CSM

Man, I actually have this for the SNES in my dorm room. Perhaps I'll start a new file when I have some downtime...

Anyone know a way to get the Pendants without taking the heart piece? I wanted to do a three heart run, but I can't get past the first dungeon without getting 4.

^You can't do a three heart run. You have to get all the heart containers you win from bosses. But it kinda balances out because you can't take quarter hearts' worth of damage (well, you can, but very few attacks can do that other than bees). -CSM

Oh yeah, and the bats (or does the GBA version actually call them Keese now?), who DO exist after the zeroth dungeon.

What? They changed the Wise Men to Sages? I guess that would make sense seeing as about 95% of the Wise Men were actually girls. However.... (DON'T READ THIS SPOILER CL OR ANYONE ELSE WHO DOESN'T WANT MASSIVE PLOT POINTS REVEALED).
Spoiler Below

Although all the descendants were portrayed as Hyrulean, as supposed to Kokiri, Goron, Zora, Sheikah, and Gerudo.

Here's what I like to think of the descendants as being from:

Dark Palace - Raru
Swamp Palace - Ruto
Skull Woods - Saria
Thieves' Hideout - Nabooru
Ice Palace - Daurania
Misery Mire - Impa
Turtle Rock - Zel-DUH!

I could've sworn the bats did a full half-heart. I remember the zeroth dungeon like the back of my hand, and I could swear that the rats were the only thing that did a quarter-heart to you. *shrugs*

Spoiler Below

The Keese did exist many places after that, however. There were Keese in the caves on Death Mountain as well as several dungeons. Actually, they had Dark World versions of them as well (the eyeball with wings), and I know those did a half-heart.

They were called Wallmasters in later games. And they're the absolute WORST in LttP.

Other enemies that are the absolute worst in LttP are the Pikits (LttP's version of the Like Likes), oh yes.... and you are going to HATE the version of the Gorons that appear in this game... -CSM
