WARMOD UPDATE: 'BETTER LATE THAN NEVER' EDITION

Sorry about the hiatus, O my brothers. I can't promise it won't happen again, but here's hoping. Now let's see if we can't back to brass tacks and rat-killing...

Freelancer After-Action Report!

Tazy (Zora): RP-- Zant spent the round recuperating in Red Rock Pass; received items. (Note: movement still reduced to one zone per square. You'll be back to normal in Round 9.) Still there.

X-3 (Hylian): Uzon traveled to Death Mountain Trail; killed 5 Goron troops. Still there.

Wyborn (Hylian): Equine butchery, followed by a trip to Kakariko Village and The Graveyard; there, the Knight presumably unearthed the song of whatevernot (suggestions are welcome). Current Location: The Graveyard.

CL (Goron): Darmanto traveled to Hylian Market and went totally freakout-sickhouse on the Hylian garrison there, killing 15 soldiers. Still there.

That Guy (Undead): No post; remains in Lost Woods West.

Any questions? Hit me.

In the meantime, be like Ike and FIGHT FOR YOUR FRIENDS.

EGADS!!!!!!
So... what next?

All troops from Sylvan Verge and 5H from Abandoned Farm (whom move to Chill swamp first) To Black Forest, attacking the Kokiri stationed there
All From Hyrule Field NE to Lon Lon Ranch (losing 5% of my troops in the process)
50 from Castle Burmuncia to the Frozen Heath

Train 50 Caviliers
Upgrade 10 Archers at Abandoned Farm to Horseback archers (for free, using the 5 horses I saved from last turn and the 5 I received this turn)

That all for now. Wait until next turn...

LWW: 120 soldiers reinforce soldiers in BF (or however that works--if they get in before the attack, that's cool, if they attack after the attack, that's okay too)
PF: 125 soldiers attack new Goron troops in The Tangle
-125 soldiers attack Goron Troops in the Sooted Wilds
Spectacle Rock: 80 soldiers attack Gorons at the High Pass

Developments: Begin fortifications on LWW
buy as many Cavaliers as I can

Damned rotten luck on the dice. But no matter; we press on.

Begin construction on secret project. Boo, you know the one.

As far as soldiers go...

Lake Hylia: All 200 troops north to Zora River.
The Old Corral: All 50 archers fire into Red Rock Pass. Then, 50 troops go stomping in to Red Rock Pass.

And then finally, I'll spend whatever rupees I have left over on new regular old Soldiers to be placed at Zora's Domain.

Tazy, you feelin' well enough to fight?

I think I should have 508 rupees. Some reason I trained 40 troops(I think my math was waaaay off that day) and then the freelancer fees.

so 408 + 300 - 160 - 40 in this case I believe.

TML: I'm always ready
---------------------------------------

Zant woke up to the sounds of battle. He knew that he was either in the middle of a battlefield, or at least near it. The pain in his body was almost completley gone but he wasn't going to wait to be completely healed. He got up and stormed out of his tent, leaving the fairy behind as he headed towards the Zoras and Gerudo.

He finally reaches the battle to see the Gerudo and Zoras. Zant opens his book of spells and says "Morpha Apprendae!" and threw an arrow at the Gerudo. Suddenly, somewhat gelatinous water fills the Area from where the arrow landed. Instantly drowning 4 Gerudo, and leaving the others weakened severely by the fight to stay alive.

"MY FELLOW BROTHERS!" yelled Zant "THIS PLACE WILL SOON BE OURS!"
------------------------------------------------
Killed 4 Gerudo.

It's kind of wet in Red Rock Pass <_<

It had been a boring, uneventful day for an unassuming clam-diver, poking around Lord Jabu Jabu's lake for a few tasty morsels for supper.

He should have known that something was about to happen.

When he surfaced for a breath before one last dive, he was greeted by a pair of curiously blue eyes. A green-blue aqua-scaled Zora with a piercing blue to his eyes was observing him curiously.

"What is the date?" the other Zora asked. The clam-diver, confused, recited the date. The other Zora quirked his head, equally confused. "Well that doesn't fit at all. Tell me, do names such as Talon, Chibi, Celeborn and Lord Empyrial sound familiar.

"Only from the old myths." replied the clam diver. "You know, The Assassin And The Gryphon, or The Gerudo Maiden Of The River. Fairy stories." The other Zora seemed amused by this.

"I see. And who is the leader of our people now?" Asked the mysterious aqua Zora.

"Why Lord Link!" Exclaimed the clam diver. "Everyone knows of our lord The Missing Link." The clam diver was suspicious of this stranger now. The aqua Zora grinned.

"The Map Maker. How excellent. Thank you, my friend." Eyes sparkling, he started to shore, leaving the calm diver in the shallows. Now curious, the clam diver called after him.

"Wait! Who are you? Who are you who doesn't know our lord?"

"I know your lord very well!" called back the aqua Zora. "As for who I am, you may call me Rio. Ryon Rioki Empyreal, Jedi, if you believe it. If not, Rio will suffice. Oh, what a fascinating time to awaken!" The strange Zora, Rio, laughed hardily, and broke into an energetic jog.

~*~*~*~

At Zora's Domain, Rio procured stationary from the local recruitment office. He scrawled a quick note, to be sent to the lord TML;

"Old Friend! Greetings from a different time and place. It seems I'm back yet again, by some grace of Nyaru. How might I most be of use to my people today?

Ryon Rioki Empyrial, JMRO, former Lord, now acting in whatever interest you wish."

Only the main base is a Fortified Area. In the case of the Gorons, that'd be Goron Citadel. Feel free to dance around like an idiot in Dodongo Cavern or throw rocks into Death Mountain's lava pools while giggling--nobody can stop you. Do it all day long if you like. (That's what I would do if I were a Freelancer.)

The main base for each race is the zone followed by '(MB)' in the Hyrulian Gazette's territorial demarcations, incidentally.

X-3, if you're still doing me the favor about the spiritual stone thing it doesn't necessarily have to be stowed away in Goron Citadel. It could be near the citadel or something. And to all generals, the spiritual stones are only keys to a story I had in mind for my character. It will literally have no effect on the stat based part of the game so please don't roleplay and put your spiritual stones in immortal areas, pretty please?

How much time do I have before the next warmod update? I MAY be able to squeeze a post in tomorrow, or maybe on Monday after play practice. We'll see.

It's going up Monday morning. Assuming everybody's posted by then, of course. If not, it's getting pushed back to Tuesday night/Wednesday morning (exams Tuesday during the day).

All traces of conscience gone, all humanity lost--or Goronity, I suppose--he had nothing to lose.

Darmanto awoke from his slumber finding himself enchained in an old warehouse. This was the Market, after all... it made sense. However, Din only knew where these chains had been. Rusted and beaten like hell they were.

Just like me, he thought. Ugly on the outside, ugly on the inside; good-for nothing and there to cause only suffering.

A fitting place.

He surveyed his surroundings. It was a wonder the Hylians even managed to drag his body to this place after he'd passed out yesterday; could they handle him now, fully conscious, with no longer anything to lose?

Darmanto tried fervently to rid his mind of images of grinning Hylians, dancing in mockery at his capture. Could he, WOULD he, proud freelancer of the Gorons, take this??

No, no he would NOT.

A bloodcurtling scream tore from his chest as he flung his arms wildly from the wall, ripping the chains from their clumsy hold.

He had business to attend to. A bit of business to finish.

There were only ten Hylians here due to yesterday's... incident. Ten measly hylians.

Even in his weakened and crazed state, it was easy for Darmanto to realize that by nightfall this place would be... oh, say, DESERTED.

By this time the Hylians had come running from hearing the Goron's crazed screech. Like keese to a flame.

Their last steps, to be sure.

Darmanto threw his right arm forward, the momentum flinging the still-dangling chain towards an unaware Hylian. A fatal concussion sent him crumpling to the ground.

After one death, the Hylians quickly became enraged. They did not want yesterday's... incident to be repeated. They raised their swords, screamed battle cries, and attacked.

Darmanto began swinging his arms in swift circles, twirling his chains like deadly streamers in a circus act.

He then ran. He charged. Metal met metal, swords met chain... people screamed, heads rolled, rock was scratched.

Alas, ten mere Hylians could never be the match of a Goron, no matter how scrawny.

Caked in the blood of himself and his enemies, Darmanto laid down. He looked into the sky, into Din's home... there was no forgiveness there.

He closed his eyes.

I am damned. But I damn myself... with pride...

Sleep claimed him.
----------------------------

OK, so in reality the Hylians would totally have killed Darmanto's sorry arse after kidnapping him. Let's just pretend that they were going to but decided to take a lunch break first. :]

Waiting for the lord TML's response, Rio decided to take in the atmosphere at a local pub. He sorely missed these olden-day ways, but after seeing how short the drink list was, he began to long for the metropolises of a different era.

Sipping from a silver goblet that appeared empty but for a wisp of mist, Rio happened to overhear a most interesting discussion at the next table.

"...terribly exciting... hasn't seen the like of it in a decade... quite legendary, you know," gushed one voice in an excited murmur.

"Should... bring any... else in?" came a low hum in a much deeper voice.

Rio, interest perked, took one last sip of his ethereal mist, vanished the goblet, and stood up.

"Gentelmen, I couldn't help but overhear the makings of an adventure."
