Oh are we not allowed to ask people to come to our sites and vote on our polls? I forgot to read the rules. I guess I better go read them. If this is the wrong place for this I'm sorry. I thought this would be the right place since the poll has to do with Zelda.

The reason why it's considered spam is your having made a topic specifically to link to your own site. Put it in a signature, don't demand people visit, you're good to go.

Linking randomly to other sites with only the purpose of increasing traffic to a site is forbidden. Pointing out news articles are one thing, but to increase traffic to your site is non-kosher.
