The whole TWIN may have been done outside of the Zelda series, but that isn't what I'm talking about. I don't like the twin idea either. What I was referring to is maybe a dark persona of the main character not an evil twin brother. Also when I was talking about Link being an overrated character I was referring to all the Links. I mentioned his family as well. I didn't say he was the same character. I was just saying why not have a new name and personality for the hero. I mean the whole aspect of Link being resurrected in every game (I know it isn't the same guy, but you get what I'm saying) is starting to get dull.

I don't need to, kid. I graduated 4 years ago, completely disinterested in the school system. High marks don't really prove much except that you're possibly studious. I'm not trying to talk down to you here.. You've got to realize how you look claiming you don't need to know how to spell anything more than 3 syllables, because you're 13, but still saying getting an A and a B in math and science makes you somehow competent. Try capitalization and punctuation in some of your sentences, and then someone aside from the other 10-13 year olds on the board might take you seriously in a forum that requires use of spelling and grammar for communication. We'll see how far math and science get you there.

And, Darth Flava, you're right. Dark Link isn't a twin, he's less than that. He has no personality.

And if you don't like returners such as Link or Zelda, you might as well find another series. They've never made a Mario game that didn't star Mario and involve saving Princess Toadstool.

Thousands of people like him when he doesn't deserve that reputation. His personality is nonexistant and he's not that good of a boss/sub-boss.

To me, that qualifies as "over-rated"

Firstly I meant by the spelling on the word 'hypocrite'.
Secondly my levels were to show I am not an Idiot as you partially claimed.

Now A.I, I do not wish to make enemies, so can we please agree to disagree on this subject, get back to the topic and leave our dispute out of the forums.

Also I was wondering what age you should leave school in America

I never said I didn't like Link or Zelda to return. I was just giving an idea. I love the Link and Zelda theme. I was just saying try something along the lines of a side story. Ganon wasn't always the main bad guy. You never saw him in MM, Link's Awakening (ok maybe as one of the final boss stages but they never mention his name), or the Oracle games, and they sold just fine. I don't want to get rid of the theme I was just giving a suggestion. Remember we're here to give opnions, not try to completely analyze what a person said and make them feel like they said something they shouldn't have. I wouldn't change the Zelda series for the world. I just was coming with some ideas I thought were cool. Let's try not to be critical about one another.

Actually if you did the secrets file twinrova uses the three flames (destruction, sorrow, and despair) and attempts to sacrifice Zelda to bring back Ganon, but in the end sacrifice themselves instead.

so Dark Link's been used, Ganon's been used, admit it, they need a new bad guy. I'm getting bored of seeing Ganon's ugly face.

Lighten up, I was saying it's not going to happen. If they do make another game where Link isn't the hero, we'll probably end up with Tingle as the main character... and that thing shouldn't have existed to begin with.

They really do need some new ideas, though. They ought to think past the whole one evil man takes over Hyrule thing.

Ganon was not in Link's Awakening. That was some shadow...thing.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Just some new ideas for the series like they did in Metal Gear Solid 3 (I love the game). Sorry if I sounded a little stubborn in my last post. I just think it would be interesting to see a new twist in the Zelda series. However I can't argue that the classics are well classic I wouldn't change what is already perfect.

Hmm. If Dark Link was a main villain...

I'd like to see some sort of psychopathic follower of Ganondorf be the primary villain of the Twilight Princess, who's slowly bringing the dark powers of the twilight realm into Hyrule so Ganon can cross over from the Dark World. I'd like Ganon to appear at the ending, ala Giygas from Earthbound, and I'd like the follower to fill out the role of Pokey.

Know what I mean? Someone who could fight Link one-on-one, maybe more than once, and he could beat Link in at least one confrontation. A swordsman, or sorcerer, whose sheer badassitude would serve to elevate Ganondorf simply because he's his underling.

^I like that. Reminds me of an unfinished Zelda fic I read, novelisation about LoZ that talked about a cult reviving Ganon.

I still like the idea of an invading army sweeping across and razing Hyrule, though. Remember?

That sounds like a good story to follow. It'd be like the son of Ganon spawned from his very hatred of Link. Not bad.

or maybe his secret daughter takes control of his armies of stalfos, moblins and wolfos and wreaks vengeance upon Hyrule, it's people, Zelda and Link.

What? Look if you're the king of a race made entirely of women what would you do? and besides there is only one male gerudo born every hundred or so years. wait, how do they breed without a male? I doubt it's asexually as no mammals are able to.

Wasn't that the whole plot twist from the Oracle games? Katoke and Koume were trying to revive Ganon with the sacrifice of Zelda...

Yeah, only this would be done well. And it wouldn't be a plot twist, it would be established early on.

I'd like to see Dark Link return as a kind of spectre of a past Link, born out of maybe an obsession or dark love for Zelda. Basically all the negative aspects of what Link might himself be, with all the powers. I always assumed the AoL plotline was something like that (unstated due to... uh... nintendo), keeping Zelda in an eternal sleep.
