I seem to recall Dark Link not being his own man in 'Zelda 2: Electric Boogaloo'. It's been a while, but, if memory serves, he was more a 'final obstacle'-type deal than the King of Devil-hell-doom-evil. Confirm, anyone? __________________ Boo--the only dude bad enough to rescue the president |

Anyways, well, AoL has pretty much zilch plot, you kind of fight Dark Link and and old gnomey thing gives you the triforce, but who that bis is pretty much open to interpretation. I prefer to think of Dark Link as a kind of manifest villain. |

Wait lemme count. LoZ, LttP, Oracles, Wind Waker, TP. Yeah, five times. Either he can come back by sheer force of his hideous will imposing itself upon reality or the idea of timelines is a joke. | |

Particularily in that story, it was said he can be revived if the hero's blood is sprinkled on his grave. Also, if you haven't noticed, in the end of AoL, there is a sprite of an evil old wizard casting the enchantment on Link's shadow. This is the same wizard who, in the original backstory to Zelda II and the entire series, cast a sleep spell on the first ever Zelda of the royal family(whose chamber you begin the game in). In the memory of his sister, her formerly-jealous prince-brother (now the king) decrees that all girls born in the royal lineage shall henceforth be named Zelda. The evil wizard was initially contracted by the prince to secure his position on the throne, which was previously destined for the princess Zelda. Alternatively, some people think the old man at the end is merely the protector of a piece of the triforce, whose trial you must stand. Either way, Link's shadow is not a final boss of its own accord. Just for posterity, I mean this guy: ![]() He doesn't look particularily evil, so I can understand why people would assume he isn't. He might be one in the same with the first Zelda's ubiquitous old man, even. Last edited by GRENTLEMEN; 03-12-2008 at 06:18 AM. |

Also I don't see him casting an enchantment. I see him standin there with the Triforce. It's just as rational to believe he was imprisoned. UBIQUITOUS OLD MAN. |
