Has anyone ever wondered exactly who Dark Link is and where he comes from? Well, I have a whole story about him that may seem a little strange, but is really cool: Dark Link, Link's Shadow as some say. What if there was more to him? What if he was an actual person? Dark Link Dragmire, Prince of Darkness and Evil, is his real name. Born to the Great King of Evil, Ganondorf, and his wife (whose name is unknown) Dark Link was infused with the power to control darkness and lightning. A Gerudo warrior by birth, Dark Link quickly learned the art of swordplay by the time he turned sixteen (Dark Link also believed that he was the greatest warrior that ever lived). After years of being forced to stay in Gerudo, Dark Link finally left Gerudo and ventured out into the more populated world, finally finding himself in Hyrule's capital, Hythorlo. There he heard folk talking of a boy who supposedly was the greatest warrior that ever lived. Infuriated by this talk, Dark Link asked what this boy look liked, and after gaining the right information, Dark Link went searching for this boy, whom the people said that his name was Link. After years of searching for him, he finally found him and a companion called Fyru, near the Great River Zora. After knocking unconcious Fyru, Dark Link challenged Link to a fight. After the vicious fight, Dark Link appeared victorious. Although Dark Link wanted to kill him, he realized that he had defeated him and that he truly was the greatest warrior that ever lived. Dark Link returned home, but he could never get over his act of "kindness." So after Dark Link talked with his father and told him of the boy's name, Ganondorf became angry and gave Dark Link the order to kill Link. Dark Link accepted this order with great pleasure and set out to fufill his duty. He met Link and Fyru again on the plains of Hyrule and once again engaged in battle. Not long after the battle began, a Hylian scouting party came into view. Dark Link knew he had to kill Link somewhere where no one was, so he dissapeared right before Link and Fyru's eyes. Dark Link thought that the scouting party was part of an army that Link commanded, so he sent a Gerudo messenger to his father with a note saying that Dark Link felt it was time that Dark Link constructed his own castle and that he be given his own army to control. Ganondorf agreed to this and gave Dark Link everything he asked for: a castle near Ikana canyon and a huge army of Gandorfians (evil, heartless beings created by crossing Ikana's and Moblin's. After seven years of building Dark Link finally had waht he wanted. Little did Dark Link know that his father had already began to wage war on Hyrule and that Link really had been given an army of Hylians....

Dark Link is the corporeal manifestation of Link's doubts and fears. His first appearence was in Zelda II, when Link attempted to recover the Triforce of Courage. In order to claim it, he had to defeat his inner demons.

Dark Link's appearence in Zelda 64 is similar to Phantom Ganon in the Forest Temple. He was a magical creature created by Ganondorf, using his dark arts and the Triforce of Power. So, once again, Link had to fight and defeat his inner demons.

Light Link 3, you've posted on this board three times so far. In each of your posts, you've either posted a link to your script or you replied to someone talking about your script. I'd be more of a mind to overlook this if you'd actually... you know, post in a way that simply wasn't an oh so obvious plug to your script. Simply put, don't expect to post here just so you can plug your script to us. I won't allow it.

So sorry. That was actually posted by my annoying friend, Robert (who's obssesed with Dark Link) who is helping with the script. I gave him a good few punches for it. Won't happen again.

Technically, it is grammatically incorrect. The word "and" makes the clause a dependent clause, and in the absence of an independent clause, it's grammatically non-kosher.

But that's all besides the point of who Dark Link is.

Whether or not a sentence beginning with "And" may be grammatically incorrect is irrelevant. The words are in the context of speech, but are simply without audio. I just ask that people make a decent attempt to use proper punctuation and spelling. If you can't figure out how to spell something, you shouldn't be using it. This is the internet. Go to dictionary.com if you need to.

And to appease TML, I preferred the AoL and the Four Swords Dark Links to the OoT Dark Link. However, I find many things that they simply reuse without any plot involvement to be lackluster. I'm for making a powerful feeling to each game, not making shallower and shallower incarnations of the same world.

There's a difference between prescriptive grammar (textbooks telling you how to use language) and descriptive grammar (describing how language is actually used). Starting a sentence with 'and' is an example of something ungrammatical according to the former, but grammatical according to the latter. Other examples are not ending a sentence with a preposition (Who are you talking to? 'should be' to whom are you talking) or not splitting an infinitive (to not do something 'should be' not to do something).
