(Maybe Spoilers) So which one do you think could win out of all of em? Me? Wind Waker Ganon. Besides being a little chubby, this guy is actually intelligent and has learned from his mistakes, unlike his poor other alter-egos. I mean first of all he blocks just about all of your attacks until he is taken out by a light arrow by Zelda. After that he knocks Zelda unconscious so that the two of you can have a fair epic sword fight. Finally, Ganon learns from his mistake the first time, and dodges every single light arrow directly aimed at him until you fool him with the mirror shield. What about the others? Ocarina Of Time Ganon: He throws lightning bolts at you for a whopping 3-hearts that fry you. He continues to do this until after a while he charges up a mighty strong one(unfortunately this one backfires even more as you do the spin attack). Then he transforms into a GIGANTIC beast, but he sacrifices a lot of speed for his incredible 4-heart damage attack. Unfortunately for him, he does not learn from his mistakes and is eventually outsmarted. Twilight Ganon: Well he's alright I suppose. He first takes over Zelda for a while which I guess is clever and does classic lightning bolt action, but loses even worse than Ocarina's Ganon. His second phase is actually his most powerful stage. He turns into a gigantic beast who is only vulnerable to arrows. After a few strikes, he learns from this attack and learns to dodge your standard arrows. Fortunately, Midna brings the beast down for you to take out. Next he basically flees on his horse, occasionally sending death spirits at you. Epona pwns his horse anyway, so his plan fails at this stage. Finally, poor Ganon must've went to the Hyrulian Dark Nut Academy, because he acts just like one! Fortunately, he learned a little more than his brothers though, he can jump in the air and charge you. His considerably powerful armor makes him immune to the Ordon Sword as well. So out of the three in the poll, I say: Wind Waker Ganon(Intelligence) >>> Ocarina Ganon(Pure Power) >>> Twilight Ganon(A Few Outstanding Abilities) |

However, I've seen each one, and I think Twilight Princess' Ganondorf looked awesome. |

The game really made him an excellent dramatic and sympathetic character instead of the traditional "IMA GUN TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!1" ![]() OH LORD. |

Moving on, despite the literary outstanding of the WW Ganon, and perhaps development as a character, if we're measuring them in the context of threat, LoZ and LttP pretty much dominate. In LoZ, you never even know what Ganon looks like until youve travelled through the abyss of Level 9, and when you finally glimpse the overarhing evil which has hung over your hoirzon like a dark thunder-head, you merely catch sight of him before he turns invisble. In LttP, the build-up is even more monstrous - the maidens tell tales, his effigy is everywhere, and when you slay Aghanim - without any clear knowledge of how or what or when you might encounter this fell enemy, his essence rips from the warlock's sundered corpse and is away, smashing through the top of the Pyramid of Power. And you have no idea what to expect down in that darkness. Again, the invisibility. The dark nature of Mandrag Ganon's magick is made more clear... notably in that the more power he draws, the more an aversion he seems to have to natural light. OoT's commendable moments were without a doubt climbing his tower to the sound of the organ, and him emmerging from the rubble of his castle. | |

In terms of "I think I just crapped my pants"-factor it's definitely Ganon from Ocarina of Time. I can't think of a single moment in the entire series (and this series is full of impressive moments) that begins to compare to when he rears back and screams with the lightning splitting the sky behind him. Terrifying. Fighting him was a great experience just for how imposing he was. In terms of difficulty it's Legend of Zelda Ganon, no question. That guy was harder than nails, like fighting an entire room full of blue Wizzrobes. Kicked my ass once or twice, anyway. In terms of just wreckin' people, though? Ruinin' their faces, and in the scope of the narrative being the most fearsome and powerful? Twilight Princess Ganondorf. He's the only one we've ever actually seen kill somebody on-screen. |
