On the one hand, I've been known to grant a measure of license when someone steps over the line with a swell RP--on the other hand, no amount of awesome RP is going to make "Bob the Freelancer killed the entire Goron army with a single punch" legitimate. |

Well, this wasn't incredibly surprising... he was the original source of the noise. He was HUNGRY. Drowsily, the large beast heaved himself off of the smooth, hard surface of his bed. Rolling would be fastest, of course, but with enemies about you could never be too quiet. Not to mention that rolling is NOT a good plan when one is short on sleep or food. Especially both. He shuffled to the Goron Citadel's entrance. Even the long corridor connecting his home to the outside world could not veil the bright light that awaited him on the exterior. The sun was just in the wrong place this morning... Grumbling, he shuffled towards the beam, dragging his undersized, scrawny feet behind his large torso. Scrawny by Goron standards, anyway. A hylian with such feet would need to buy custom-made shoes, to say the least. The tunnel seemed longer today. Stretching out, making the journey outside seem oddly unbearable. Perhaps he had eaten a bug within a rock yesterday and was experiencing hallucinations. Or perhaps it was the stale air of war that hardened his lungs and weighed down his spirit. The sun is generally a harbinger of happiness, of new beginnings... so why did it seem like an omen now? It pierced him, to his very soul. A few more steps, and a blinding EXPLOSION waged full war on his eyes. He stumbled backward into the cave, covering his eyes and screeching like a child. Odd stares were directed at him... he could not feel them, but he could feel their heat penetrating his thick skin. "Darmanto!!" A bass drum was hit with full force within the Goron Elder's mouth, forcing the proudest of his race aquake with fear. "Come to me NOW!!" The Elder had a way of issuing instructions in a voice that was calm and at the same time booming. An odd combination to be sure, but certainly effective. Darmanto gladly obliged, well aware of the eyes still boring into his back. Eyes dancing with amusement. "I am well aware that you are a runt. You are weak, you are slow, you scream at the sun for Din's sake! However, there is one thing you possess, and that is a brain." This was the closest thing to a complement the goron had ever recieved. His stomach churned, mixing the praise and the shame into a smoothie of emotion. His body was twisted upon itsself, he was upside-down inside. Something was amiss. "Your brains are needed on the front of battle!! You have been ordered to help our race by all means necessary. Now get out of here!!" The Elder, quite nimble for one his age, rolled into a tight ball and pounded the floor with might enough to split Biggoron's back in two. Darmanto jolted, forgot the danger of nausea, and curled himself into a fetal position. He propelled himself away from the crazy old man, and to the closest place he could think of... Dodongo's Cavern came crashing into his view, and promptly after, his head. "I guess I haven't rolled in awhile..." Darmanto got up, dusted himself off, and ventured into the cavern. After messily devouring a good number of the protruding boulders in the cave, his eye caught the sight of a small plume peeking out of a wall's crack. He tugged, and a small bomb flower landed on his lap. The special crop!! He quickly bagged it, and searched for many more. By the day's end, he had collected quite a good few... this was, at the least, a start. ---------------- +20 (if that's too much, then 15) resources for Gorons Last edited by CuccoLady; 02-27-2008 at 09:57 PM. |

Zant had just returned to his home in Zora's Domain. In a way, he saw Everything the way it was supposed to, and luckily, nothing had happened to it. He decided that he Needed to pick up some more things from his Cave, and so he set out. He had entered the cave and grabbed some more arrows, as well as a Kokiri Sword he found on a Battlefield lond ago. This, along with a Fairy, a Book of Ancient Spells, Warhammer, and Bunch of arrows, he went back out towards Lake Hylia. The Crystal Clear Water shimmered as Zant swam his way through, the only other noise being the Fairy trying to get out of the bottle, but to no avail. Soon Zant came across a large log, from there he picked it up and brought it to the pack of Zoras that were marching along. "Here" said Zant "This Large Log could help us in our conquest." The other Zoras just looked at the Large Lumber Zant was carrying, and knew he had great strength. Zant would be a formidable ally. |

"R. Maku is not a good author, by any means." His dark eyes searched the room, darting left and right, until they fell upon a black and white photograph of a happy looking Hylian woman. The Zora smiled at the sight of his now-deceased mother. He changed into a dark robe with red trimmings, before hoisting a backback over his back. The Zora left his home, to set off... He emerged into the bright Castle Town, filled with laughing children, gossiping women and wise men studying, among other things. This had been the place where he had been raised for so long. The Zora wanted to make sure it stayed this way, untouched by the other races... "Uzon!" a small, dark-haired Hylian child shouted from behind, catching the Zora by surprise. He turned around, smiling. "Uzon...you're leaving today, are you not?" the girl asked, her voice filled with sorrow. "Yes, Marisa. I have to help the Hylains, one way or another..." "Do you think you'll find your father?" "I doubt it. He's probably dead. But if he isn't...I'll give him hell." Uzon rose up. "Well, it's about time I leave. I need to stop by the General Store for a book I ordered. Good-bye, Marisa." the young girl said her good-byes and ran to play with some other friends. Uzon entered the store, only to be met to the glare of a burly, bearded saleskeeper. The pale Zora returned it, leading to a large staring contest. That is, until an old man came from the back, carrying an old, grey-colored book with Hylian lettering printed on the front. "Oh, hello, Uzon." the old man greeted him kindly. "Here's the book you ordered." the man handed Uzon the book, who scanned several pages of it, before closing it and handing the old man several rupees in payment. "Wait, we sell those kinds of books!?" the burly shopkeeper suddenly shouted, as Uzon raised his hand "That ain't right! That kind of magic just ain-" suddenly, his beard was lit on fire. The shopkeeper yelped in surprise, before rushing outside. "I hate when people talk about magic like that. It's not like it's dark magic or anything." Uzon stated, stuffing the book into his bag. "Luckily for that new guy of yours, that spell wears off quickly." And with that, the burly shopkeeper returned to the shop, with most of his beard gone. Uzon left the store, and looked to the nearby Castle Hylia. The general of the army is in there, I think...He got my letter about me helping the army, hopefully. I'll have to try my best. --- OoC: Acceptable RP, I hope... |

The grand tile floors reflected the beautiful sun, emitting the entire room in a bright golden color. The wind swirled into his room, brushing the man’s hair across his face elegantly. The house of Crayford was such a sight. The house stood proudly inside the castle walls, looking down at the serene Castle Town. All was a beautiful day, save for one man. “Isser, Isser!!” The man had awoken from his peaceful sleep and shuffled the sheets aside irritated. “I’m coming Lord Crayford!” replied his butler. “Such a disgrace, it’s going to be another ugly day,” he muttered to himself. The man jerked the fine curtains near his windows shut as he began to change. “Where is my vest?!” “I’ve got it Lord Crayford!” Crayford sat on his bed as he put on a formal red shirt and khaki beige pants. Lifting his legs, he strapped on a nice pair of brown boots. He quickly leapt up from his bed and took quick large paces towards his large bedroom door and forced it open. He saw his Butler quickly pacing down the hallway towards his room. “He’s late…” Crayford sighed to himself. “Here it is my Lord!” Crayford practically ripped the beige vest from his butler’s hands and quickly paced down the hallway, his butler frantically keeping up with him. “I am sorry for not waking you up sooner my Lord, I wanted you to sleep well for today’s busy day!” “Yeah, what a shame we must be awake for nearly two thirds of our lives. Sleep is the only good time in a man’s life. Yet sleep is considered overrated these days.” “Senator Seila Drake would like a word with you” Isser spoke, chasing after Clayford. “Oh really?! She wants a word from me? Tell her this: No.” His butler was taken aback. “But sir-“ Crayford did not respond. He quickly paced out of his house, leaving his butler behind. Outside was a large white carriage, escorted by Hyrule’s royal guards. He entered the carriage which proceeded down the mountain towards Castle Town. --- OoC: It's late so if there's typos or I find better fluffy words I'll fix it tomorrow. I'm gonna try and have more fun with this instead of be all anal like I was last time so I may post late due to trying to throw in a roleplay.
