What name do you use to refer to the main antagionist of the series? Most people I know refer to him as Ganondorf in his humanoid form, but Ganon in his evil warthog form. I call him Ganon in any form, just because it sounds cooler, in my opinion. |

Ganondorf Dragmire is the full name of the Prince of Thieves. At some point in time, he became little more than a legend, as he was locked away in the Golden Land. People have a way of changing words and the names of things, and it became shortened to Ganon. An easier way of remembering it is just that whenever you see him in Pig/Boar/Monster form, he is known as Ganon. I think Windwaker is the only exception to this, where the game makers preferred to call him Ganon even as he is still in human form. |

When referring to OoT, I call him Ganondorf as a human and Ganon as a boar thing. In WW, I call him Ganon. In MM and PH, I call him nonexistant. |

This is probably because menacing warthog beasts just aren't all that...menacing in real life. Plus, the 3D incarnations of Ganondorf have been pretty BA. |

It's not like the Zelda series has ever been one through which sequential, historical plot has ever mattered outside the gimmick factor ![]() |

Perhaps I should rename it: 'Which name sounds better?' |

'Hyrulian War' is now an official part of the timeline. Yes. Seriously, though, canon's mostly important to the big fans. You know, your weirdo purists and fanfic writers and such. I'm not one of them. I don't even like Zelda, to be honest. I mean, it's all right, but it's no 'Sneak King'...(JOKE). |

Mario, for instance, was easily much more colorful and interesting in the early 90's. Now he's hollower than the olsen twins. |
