| Senior Member | I think I pieced together a part of Zelda 64's beta things!!!! Okay...I'm pretty sure you guys have gone into beta mode on Zelda 64 and gone into Kakariko when it's up in flames. There's no explanation for this right? Well what about this? That's right. A blue fairy in Kakariko still in the game's code. My theory is that either she is supposed to try to destroy kakariko at some point. Further along we also know that Sheik is present at the flaming kakariko scene. These are in beta mode meaning a cutscene was supposed to take place as well involving Sheik. The only thing that's missing to back up my claim is data for a kakariko village that's different in any which way (charred or partially destroyed). | ||

All the beta quest stuff is actually the rooms loaded for cutscenes. The cutscenes were done at varying parts of development, so naturally the cutscenes include old stuff. Being too lazy to cut it away, and not needing to most of the time (a lot of the weird stuff's out of view inside cutscenes) it is there for you to explore when you use Gameshark to enter the worlds of the cutscenes. It's not actually a beta quest or anything; it's a series of disconnected snapshots of the game. As for why Kakariko is up in flames, that's a more of a curious matter. |

| Senior Member | Kakariko being up in flames....and the fact that there's a giant blue fairy in Kakariko as well. Lest we forget the ocarina pedestal or the Arwing? Why don't we go into talking about why Link has a black, white, and yellow tunic in addition to the orignal three? I could even throw in that I know how to play as Dark Link in this game. It's a curious game with exciting Beta stuff indeed. Majora's mask having the fairy ocarina and the megaton hammer. How about the beta fight against Majora still being included? Why not go ahead and say that Saria's character model as well as Darunia's are still encoded yet all of the other sages are missing? |

God knows why they were changed into creepy hookers... but that's beside the point.... I saw a video awhile back of screenshots of random OoT beta stuff, and one of them was the great fairy who looked precisely like that, albeit smaller. I'm such a killjoy. ![]() |
