Right after beating Turtle Rock. I'm just that darn good. ![]() Thankfully I did massive exploring around both the light world and dark world to get the silver arrows and golden sword without exploring too much of Ganon's Castle. In other news, I nearly beat the game but I forgot to use a blue potion when my health was real low (I was used to just carrying around free faeries) while on the 6th floor or so of Ganon's Castle. I got pissed and haven't played the game since. But as I promised. I WILL beat this game someday! Hopefully soon. ![]() Last edited by Blake; 08-27-2008 at 10:41 PM. |

I could understand it if that's true, because it can be tough to remember what you've done and what you should be doing unless you're playing it fairly consistently. Otherwise, you'll just get a sincere for beating Turtle Rock with the Master Sword, and a sarcastic for... y'know. |

X.X I used a strategy guide to find out where to bring Blind since I went in every single room (turns out you can throw a bomb over a 'partial wall' to blow up the floor panel to shine light into the room below). Other than blind, I also looked at the strategy guide to see which 5 heart pieces I am currently missing. Otherwise, I didn't use the guide for anything else so while I did know you can temper the sword, I had no idea where the dude was lurking. I was basically expecting to find the smith's lost brother inside a dungeon or near a location where you tread during the main quest. However, after beating dungeon 5 things seemed fishy when I still had the freaking Master Sword still. Without any clue, I just kept beating the dungeons until I realized I was at Ganon's tower with a level 2 sword. (It's kind of funny that the level 2 Master Sword does not affect the beasts that lurk outside of Ganon's tower). And then one day I was in the City of Outcasts again and decided to go South for some reason when I found the dude. I think I vaguely remember seeing the smith's partner before when I lacked the Golden Gauntlets but I paid no mind to him. Heck, at that point of the game I may not even have found out where the two smiths lived, that took me a while to find too. X.X But anyway, once I found him the Smith's partner I knew exactly what to do from there. ![]() Oh, and no I wasn't playing on and off either. I started this game about two weeks ago but I haven't played it in a couple of days cause I was close to reaching Ganon and forgot to heal. ![]() |

Let us know when you spank Ganon so we can celebrate with a bottle of cure-all potion. |

Heh, you sure were right how beating Ganon's tower is rewarding. THANK GOD you don't have to scale that place ever again, heh. And then I had to officially beat the game but I was sort of impatient so I used the guide to finish up the last 5 heart pieces I was missing as well as gain access to an unnecessary room in the mire level and a few in Ganon's tower. And then I realized I never threw the boomerang in the well of wishing so I did that too. I could have sworn I threw in EVERY FREAKING THING in that well but apparently the one item I missed, the boomerang, was able to be upgraded 8 dungeons ago. ![]() Anyway, it was a real good game. I never realized how much it set the standard in Zelda games as far as weapons, dungeon puzzles, and story. At first I was skeptical of the small overworld (aka the light world) but once I set foot into the Dark World I was like 'holy freaking cow!' when I found out it was a whole different world in itself, unlike TP's twilight realm of one measly dungeon. The only thing that sort of disappointed me was the lack of allied characters in the Dark World. Actually I just noticed something interesting: almost all of the characters in the dark world wanted your money. I never realized that until now but it makes sense, since they were all greedy little dudes who wanted the golden power. That's actually kinda neat. ![]() The damage and health of enemies in the Dark World was ridiculously annoying, yet fun for it posed a challenge. It was especially fun when you upgrade to the golden sword and red tunic and things become a breeze. Heh, and lastly I enjoyed the dark world look itself. It wasn't really a 'dark' place but rather a dull and dry place with mutated creatures and such. It was also cool spending the majority of the time in the dark world as well. At times I hadn't made a casual visit to the light world in almost 3 dungeons at one point! I practically forgot the light world existed! ![]() Anyway, yeah I definitely got sucked into this game when I got dragged into the Dark World. ![]() |

I was actually a little bit disappointed in the execution of Nintendo's Light/Dark world gameplay elements in LttP, TP and Metroid Prime 2. They're too similar, with very minimal changes. What made me love LttP was the boss battles and the little secrets scattered around that actually meant something. When I got a new item or weapon, I actually loved toying with it. I love virtually every Zelda game but only WW gave me the same joy as LttP did. Oh, congrats on beating LttP, it's a must-beat Zelda game |

It was weird cause the fortune teller told me where the cape was, which I totally didn't expect. O.o It led to me wasting more money on the teller to see if he would locate the 5 the heart pieces I couldn't find but he didn't. ![]() Anyway, I never used either the cane or invisibility cape though, except for the one heart piece you need the cape for. I know in Spectacle Rock's dungeon there's a room (I think where you get the compass) where an eyeball laser dude instantly closes when you face the door/him. I had to escape that room using the magic mirror. Do you know if using the cape confuses the eyeball dude and lets you leave the room. I was also partially curious what would happen if I tried giving the level 2 master sword to the fairy in the pyramid of power, but I think I read online that you have to temper the sword first. Would have been funny if you could skip the temper level if you were stuck up and didn't want to pay the 10 rupees from to smiths. ![]() |

I'm not sure if it helps with the eyeball, but it's not needed. To get past it, I think youhave to charge your sword, and then walk backwards or something. |

![]() I forgot to mention: They need to bring the Cane of Somaria back! (Unless they did without my knowledge). That is hands down win and pwns even the almighty dominion rod! I'd love to see the cane over the lens of truth anyday.

I forgot the fire rod also had the CoS's properties in Four Swords, but I don't think it was as awesome as lttp's since I don't think you could push the block. It would be cool to see the CoS in a 3-d Zelda game as well. Heh, I could just imagine the fireballs blazing out in all directions when you detonate the block.
