As cool as most of the other Ganons are, I'm going to go with WW Ganondorf, who was made to be one of the deepest and most driven villains in any video game, whereas too many Ganons seem to just be "rar I'm evil, hand over the Triforce". (I might not include OoT Ganondorf in that description, though.) |

But I don't think he's the best. I really liked FSA Ganon. He was definitely a badass. Edit: I hope the WW Ganon and TP Ganon votes were people mistakenly voting for Ganondorfs. WW Ganon is the worst in the series, and TP Ganon was a little strange--though I have a good theory concerning why TP Ganon was why it was. |

Doesn't the boss battle thing say "Ganondorf" at the end, though? |

Let's say this thread is about the combined beings of both human Ganondorf and the entity Ganon, or at the very least the one who played the larger role in the respective game, as opposed to one or the other. |

I voted WW simply because of the character development. Also, I really really liked the fact that he fought with Gerudo style combat. That was pretty awesome. ![]() |

It's possible they're different incarnations of the same evil entity... like Link keeps getting reincarnated. Even if they ARE the same dude, they're portrayed totally differently in different games. The WW Ganondorf had five hundred times more personality than a lot of the others, so even if he is the same dude, his personality has changed or is portrayed in a cooler, much more badassed light. |

It was weird but cool, and I like 'Dorf's badassery in WW so it's an easy pick for me. |

The nose changes the most, seeing as OoT Ganondorf had the stereotypical Gerudo nose but TP/WW Dorf had flat noses. I think it's the same guy, seeing as I believe there is a split continuum (as Aonuma and Miyamoto have said), and Ganondorf keeps breaking the seal. However, I believe some of the incarnations of Ganon have been different people, hosts, methods, etc. We've only really seen 'Dorf four times, if you count his appearance in LttP (in name only). As such, and since OoT is supposed to be the first 'story' in the series, we can assume that eventually old 'Dorf got worn out and the demon Ganon started creating new methods to come to the world. Damn, I feel like I have no life for formulating goddamn theories about a videogame. :P |

Ganondorf and Ganon are two completely separate beings that can be controlled by one man. OoT Kid Timeline: Ganondorf doesn't even get anywhere near creating the beast Ganon, since his time has been spent on taking over Hyrule. Which he doesn't do, by the end of the game. MM Happens--no Dorf. TP Happens. Dorf has discovered the beast Ganon within him, but has never taken the time to "Domesticate" it. That's why Ganon in TP is all feral and wild boar-like, as opposed to the upright Pig creature we see in every other Zelda game. Ganon is wounded by the end of the game, and Link kills Dorf. Every other game that follows in this line--(in this order)--The Oracles, FSA, LttP, and LoZ (and then AoL, with LA during), there's no Ganondorf at all, because Link totally killed him way back in TP. Ganon becomes the villain, and Ganondorf becomes a legend. OoT Adult Timeline: Ganondorf spent the 7 years while Link was trapped in the Sacred Realm perfecting the essence of Ganon. By the end of the game, he's able to switch between them at will, and Ganon is the "domesticated" beast that we're used to. At the end of the game, Link kills Ganon (opposite the other timeline), and Ganondorf is merely sealed away. Many, many years later, WW Happens. Ganondorf has never been able to revive his beast Ganon form, so he uses this bastardized version to appear bigger than what he really is. As for the rest of the games: Minish Cap comes before OoT. PH happens after WW, but in the Koholint Timeline created by Link's Awakening (which comes halfway through AoL), because I believe that Oceus is the Wind Fish. I had thought about it that way before, but never really organized it like that. Bravo, that's all very feasible. |
