Windwaker Wii?

I don't know how new this is, but I came across it recently:

(set for March 11th)

Anyone think we'll see a WW remake like this?

Mmmm, I wouldn't say "no", but I wouldn't get my hopes up either.

^ That. WW already got a sequel for the DS, so they're probably focusing on other stuff at the moment.

I don't think that affects it. Pikmin 3 is currently under development but they're still releasing a remake of 1.

Anyway, ports don't require anywhere near as many people as original games do. They'd still be able to focus on whatever else they were doing.

Rumor has it that they're going to do this with WW, except add a few unused dungeons in stead of sailing for the triforce pieces. Which would effectively take away all the gripes I had about Wind Waker.

I really doubt it'll happen, but dammit, I can dream.

^That'd be awesome. Like, awesome enough to create cracks in the Earth. Said cracks would have cracks coming from them.

I know they're giving Metroid Prime the control update. I'm thrilled about that.

Well, I'm not sure as to whether it will happen or not... but, admittedly, it would kick ****ing ass if it did. :{D

Any source of your rumor or is this actually made up? I can't find any rumors about WW for the wii anywhere. As far as unused stuff goes, they need to include Tingle's Art Studio and that mysterious green bird that is used as a marker in the beta. They had the animation for the bird perfect and what's weird is that it would sit on Link's head and fly around you once you just happened to see it in the beta world.

YouTube - Wind waker beta ¿navi substitute?

You can see the bird at 1:02.

No source, WvsW. That's why it's a "rumor."

Yes, as am I. The first thing I said after I played MP3 was "I'd love to play Metroid Prime 1 with these controls."

I bet they implement the 'swing Wiimote around like a tard' gameplay dynamic not just in sword-fighting, but also in using the Wind Waker baton.

You know, so you can look like even more of a total knob.

Boo, you don't really have to "swing the remote around like a tard." You really only have to flick your wrist...it's the opposite of a big deal.

I'd expect they'd go about as far with the motion controls as they did with TP. Aiming and sword swinging.

I don't really care what they'd assign to motion controls as long as they don't go as far as making me have to wave my arms in random directions to escape ReDead, though.

Seeing as I flail around like an insane person when there's a ReDead on me anyway, this does not affect me.

Why are last gen games being remade at all? I can see a 64, PS1 or even Dreamcast remakes, but nothing as recent as Pikmin.
