Yeah, it's been over ten years since the game came out, ten years since I tried to pick it up as a kid but could never finish it, and now I've finally finished the game on the Virtual Console. Overall, I'd say the game was pretty good, definitely one of the highlights of the series. The story was okay, though I wouldn't have minded a bit more character depth. Most of the bosses were pretty good (Bongo Bongo is going has stand out in the whole series for me), and the dungeons were well-designed and challenging. (I didn't quite see what the big deal about the Water Temple was, though. Yeah, I can see someone messing up and having to backtrack a lot, but I didn't have to do that much.) Overall, I'd rate OoT alongside Twilight Princess, but below Wind Waker or maybe Majora's Mask (another game I haven't played in a while, although I did beat it). Since I never got to play it through when it first came out, it's hard for me to see it through nostalgia goggles, but honestly I found it very enjoyable, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to play it through. Oh yeah, and Keese can all suck my Master Sword. |

I feel more comfortable playing Wind Waker or Twilight Princess, both which I have yet to start playing, either. What I like about Wind Waker is that it has a less serious cartooney tone, and I can just have fun with it. Right now, I just feel like playing some good 'ol Zelda 3. |

As for me, I'm still stuck in the Spirit Temple (Child). And even that sounds better than it is, since I'm doing the Spirit Temple before the Shadow Temple. :/

I bought it once for the simple fact that it had Zelda and Mario on it and it sucked to high hell!! |

From now on, I'll do what you do, Metal Man. Mocking your enemy makes it so much more fun. ![]() |

For instance, I had a hard time diving down deep into the well beneath Clanker to raise his chain (there was also a few notes and a Jinjo down there) because I was afraid of drowning, and entering ANY body of water inhabited by that god damn shark. On this playthrough, it was in-and-out. **** YOU, LACK OF OXYGEN. |

It worked pretty well. Although the helicopters required some more persuasion.
