Thank you a lot for your help SPACE STALIN ! ^^ I will be there to answer your questions if you have. Also don't hesitate to say what you think of the games, that can be positive or negative, but I prefer positive . |

Call me A.I., AI, or ai here if you want to get my attention easier. I haven't tried OLB yet, so I can't give you any immediate criticisms for that, but I can for ROTH. I really love LttP, so I dig the aesthetic and all. I think the music is used fairly well and the map and layout work well. Here's some negatives that I hope you can circumvent in the future: The environments are too vacant, too empty. The world in ROTH is quite blocky and sort of devoid of character - the patches of grass and trees, etc, in LttP were all placed in a way that made them feel like it was very meticulously planned but also very natural. More frequent objects in the games environments with a lot less square-shapes overall would be a definite improvement. The enemies all seem to have the same behavior patterns - only to head directly towards Link. That's no good, you've had to really cut down on the amount of enemies in the game just to keep it playable. It's not impossible to play, but it's not especially fun to kill the monsters, etc, because they all behave in a very simplistic way. You need to make the knockback more effective, too. If the enemies all head directly towards Link, when Link strikes something with his sword it should be driven dramatically away. That at least could've let you put more enemies in each area, even without modifying their behavior. Overall, I'd say it's pretty fun to explore, but it feels a bit unfinished. Having re-read your post, I can see you've just done the translation, though. The translation is decent, it's at least more coherent than the first Zelda, and even that was understandable. It's not bad, but it could definitely have been done better. If you haven't, next time cross-reference what you've translated with a writer to really smooth things out. I'm sure there are tons of folks around the net that would be willing to help out. |

And don't worry, I report all your comments to the guy who made the games ^^. About the translation... well, I see what you mean, actually I had it checked by a teacher, so I hoped it was okay but apparently not enough. As you said, for the next time I will try to find a fan writer to help me. Tazy Ten : don't see the prb with my showing off, but anyway, hope I'm what ya call a "cool people". Domo : Don't forget to say what you think ^^. |

And my apologies that the feedback was mostly negative. I'm still very impressed with how well presented everything is in the game. I wish I could play it with my control pad - I've got one I can map keyboard commands to, but it seems to get hung up whenever I change directions, so I'm better off using the keyboard itself. If you're at all interested in touching up the translations, I'm sure my wife wouldn't mind giving me a hand rewriting it to help you out. VGF overall is sort of a gathering of well-spoken and well-written folks, all around. Last edited by Cosmonautical; 03-25-2009 at 10:45 PM. | |

I'll probably hunt down the French version and play it for kicks too, and attempt to use my second-year vocabulary to figure out what's going on.. x{D |
