Gender: Posts: 4,042 Thanks: 95 Thanked 74 Times in 36 Posts | Found Chris Houlihan's Room Today So, I was replaying Link to the Past while recovering from my wisdom teeth extraction, and I stumbled upon this little secret in a way I had never heard before. Long story short, I got there through the Pyramid of Power. In case anybody wants to try to replicate this, here's what I did as nearly as I remember. NOTE: This was done near the end of the game, so this method contains spoilers and requires a late save-file. -Defeated Aghanim 2 -Followed Ganon to Pyramid -Descended Pyramid almost to the base -Warped to Light World -Flew to Witch's Hut -Bought one red potion and one blue potion -Walked to Hyrule Castle, warping to Dark World through threshold -Rammed into tree on the left, obtained (NOT bottled) faerie -Visited the fat faerie (entrance already bombed), threw bombs into well* -Ascended Pyramid, fell into hole -Chris Houlihan's Room *I thought it might increase my carrying capacity. It's been a while. I doubt all of the above listed steps contributed to my finding the room, but there they are just in case. It could have been a total fluke, too. It is a pretty old cartridge, after all. Who else has found/attempted to find this easter egg? On purpose? On accident? Discuss! (if anyone has no idea what I'm talking about, see here) |

I can't seem to keep my status as a regular for any longer than a handful of months. |

I found it long before it was widely known. For years people thought I was making stuff up whenever I mentioned it. |

![]() I never played the original in much depth, so I heard about this room long before I actually saw it.

The room shows up whenever the game basically loses track of where you're going, when you go through a door/drop down a hole. A minor error that very rarely occurs.

Gender: Posts: 29,118 Thanks: 2,535 Thanked 1,823 Times in 1,008 Posts | I only recently discovered the multiple cartridges. Two friends of the family, one of mine and one of my brothers, sold their SNESes and gave us their entire libraries. One library was a whole lot of crap--Dennis the Menace, Super Scope 6 with no Super Scope, with one or two gems, Street Fighter II and LttP. The other one was gold, with MMX, Super Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter Alpha 2, a few others and...LttP. So yeah, I've been thinking about e-baying one of them, but I have this reluctance toward selling games. We'll see how it goes. |

Unfortunately my copy of LttP is the GBA port, and I'm pretty sure it's not in there. |

And the GBA version wasn't a version of the original NoA localization, so yeah it's not in there. |
