AGH!

Finally, I can get a chance to play the classic Legend of Zelda. And...the ROM's messed up. I can't pick up to white sword. Who else has had this problem?

You have to beat a few dungeons first before you can use it, I believe.

Scratch that, you have to have 5 hearts.

No problem. And good work on getting there so early, I'm pretty certain you have to battle a Lynel on the screen outside of that cave, and those things can kill you in one hit.

Also, protip: Don't use any keys from one dungeon in another, until the dungeon you got it from is beaten and you're done exploring it. You won't get stuck so much as it takes a long fricken time to get enough rupees to buy another key, and you might not be ready to take on the next dungeon to get another key to replace it.

If you're desperate for cash, btw, the money making game is easy to cheat with save states. It'll save you a lot of money-grinding.

Additional pointer: The monsters all have a "leader" monster, kill it and all the monsters of that kind on screen will die. You can use this to farm Ghini (ghosts in the graveyard) for money: the first one that spawns is always the leader, so keep track of it and kill it after summoning a crapload. Beat him up a bit first, so you don't have to hit him more than once or twice after the screen is full of them, or it can get messy.
