Gender: Posts: 29,118 Thanks: 2,536 Thanked 1,823 Times in 1,008 Posts | My girlfriend's niece doesn't hate me anymore thanks to Zelda So my girlfriend's niece is 2 years old, and she's your average, adorable, illiterate, unintelligible, pants-crapping toddler. She seems to enjoy everyone's company except mine. People will be like, "Cate, say Grampa!" and she'll say it in her cutesy little voice, and then someone will say "Cate, say Jared!" and she won't utter a word. Every time I walk in the room she shuts up, and starts talking again after I leave. She seems to be the only little child I've ever frightened this much. Well, I'm at my girlfriend's house for a few days before Christmas, and I had my N64 hooked up and I was playing Majora's Mask. Lo and behold, Cate comes over with her parents, and runs into the living room. She sees what's on TV and is thoroughly amazed (I was working my way through Ikana Castle at the time). She reaches her hands out to me and says "Up!" and I put her on my lap, and she points to the TV and says "Play! What is this?" (except more baby-like), and I said "Zelda!" and she made a sound of approval and watched me beat up Re-deads and The King of Ikana for about 20 minutes, all the while making little giggles and squeals. Afterward, for the rest of the day, she's been following me around and hitting me and playing with me and laughing and stuff. It's like a complete 180. So there you have it: Zelda can change the heart of a 2-year-old. |

Usually pretty easy to get along with, but there's always someone that needs a different sort of attention. Heh, if there's anything that warms a child's heart, its got to be when they see you playing a video game or if you talk to them about their favorite cartoon or something. |

Though I did remember when I was a kid and playing LttP, I used to throw the boomerang and then pick up a Pendant before it came back, so the boomerang would hover in one place and my siblings thought that was funny. -CSM |

I also liked having extra things on the black screen after you beat a castle in Super Mario World. And when you spit a key out of Yoshi's mouth when you go into a Keyhole. classics. |
