Thanks for you time and feel free to use this topic for all things Zelda related. - You stupid dog. |

Maybe the developers of OoT thought "Light Arrows" would be more functional and make more sense to go along with Fire and Ice Arrows than "Silver Arrows", so they just did that and have continued to do it since. Silver Arrows only appeared in two games, anyway. |

Also, they're both the same thing, just that the Silver Arrows reflect alot of light. __________________ /人◕ ‿‿ ◕人\ WON’T YOU BECOME A MAGICAL GIRL? |

Random User brought up werewolves so I'd just like to mention two possible reasons for why silver is said to kill them. The first one I came across was that silver had an odd property about it that if one piece of said metal was blessed then ever other piece of silver would be as well. Next was that they were really referring to quicksilver as it was once thought that and injection of said metal would kill anything. Now that my werewolf fanboy tangent is over what's your favoret Zelda bossfight? Mine would be the one in Turtlerock. - You stupid dog. |

It's better than all the other bosses in Ocarina of Time. Also, silver works in all evil things. Fun fact: vampires traditionally don't have a reflection in a mirror because mirrors used to be glass backed with a silver lining (or made entirely of solid silver). |

I mean, it's an easy contrast--weapons of light vanquish the king of darkness. (I bet that's the name of a Christian metal song.) Silver isn't quite as clear-cut outside its traditional evil-slaying context, especially since some of the silver items we see later on in the series get upgraded to golden ones eventually (i.e. silver gauntlets and silver scale in OoT, Beedle's silver membership in WW). Maybe they were worried the more obtuse players would be running all over hell looking for golden arrows to settle Ganon's hash with. |

That'd make one hell of a weird fanon. Also while I enjoy reading timeline theories written out by people more in the know I take the stance that each game is a retelling of the same legend passed down over time given how Nintendo pretty much killed the timeline theory a while back. - You stupid dog. |
