Wooden Swords are NOT for Pussies.

Well ever since i played the first LoZ on the Wind Waker bonus disk, I've been a fan of the wooden sword.

And it was a real treat to see it return for all of one fight in Twilight Princess.

So...would anyone else like to see the Wood Sword return in The Legend of Zelda: The Girl is a Sword, or whatever the next game is bloody going to be called.

EDIT: In retrospect that topic title sure is one heck of an innuendo.

I wouldn't be surprised if the first sword in LoZ was meant to be wooden, but I've always preferred to see it as rusty.

The wooden sword is the best. I love smacking Octoroks with my wood.

I always saw it as a wooden sword. With a painted green handle. Swear there was a picture of it somewhere.

So some old guy gives you a piece of wood to fight hordes of monsters and an evil overlord. Good plan.

Arrow

Re: Wooden Swords, they are more deadly than you think. Miyamoto killed some guy with a wooden sword he carved out of a boat oar, in one of his famously badass exploits.

He killed Kojiro Sasaki, who was armed with a metal longsword (nodachi), but he didn't kill a dragon with multiple heads, fully armored dog things, or amorphous blobs with it.

I liked how in Wind Waker, you could pick up enemy weapons and use those. I wouldn't mind seeing that used again. That was fun. :{)

Always practice safe swordplay and sheath your sword, especially if it's wooden.

I agree. I'll raise you one with Die by the Sword, though(funny how it's just come up twice in comparison, now):

In DbtS, you can cut off enemy's limbs/extremities, pick up said limbs, and beat the remaining enemies to death with them. Occasionally while they're still grasping their weapon.

^ Totally heard about that, possibly even from you sometime in the past. Now THAT is awesome. x{D

Point remains that beating the snot out of enemies with something [either a weapon or a limb] that came from them is pretty awesome.

I want meh wooden sword! D:<

Yeah a wooden sword would be sweet. As long as they don't make it like a Biggoron Sword and it breaks after a certain amount of hits and you have to trek all the way back to Death Mountain to play 200 rupees for a new one.

^ Biggoron Sword didn't break, Medigoron sword did. The problem with Biggoron is that you have to do a stupid trading quest to actually GET his sword, then play the Sun's Song like fifty times. >_>

Point remains that yeah, I usually never get those WE'LL FIX YOUR SWORD BUT IT WILL BECOME DULL AFTER 100 HITS things, because then I get really nervous about using one of my 100 swings, so then I die because I don't want to use the sword because I JUST MIGHT NEED IT LATER.

The bad one was called the Goron's Knife, Glutexo. On the other hand, it's a poor man's Master Sword.
