So, my family and I went to go watch a production of Peter Pan [this is Zelda-related, I promise], and I noticed that they called the woods that the Lost Boys lived in the "Lost Woods." Somehow I'd managed to never notice that before. Then I realized that the kids in the Lost Woods in OoT wear green tunics and never grow up. And they are accompanied by fairies. So, in other words... after having played the game for at least eight years of my life, I JUST NOW realized that the Kokiri Forest part of OoT is an homage to Peter Pan. .... I'm a ****ing retard. x{DDD |

This thread is like a diplomatic first contact between two isolated clusters of neurons. |

I mean, it was already kinda obvious before OoT. That was just the game where they said screw it, gave him a fairy partner, and stuck him in a forest filled with children that never grew up. Before the game came out, Half of what pretty much everyone had to say about it was that it was lame they were ripping off Peter Pan. Huh. Must be a generational thing or something. ![]() |

It just surprised me that so many people never noticed the similarities. Edit: Except Ace. HE DISGUSTS ME. ![]() Last edited by Cravdraa; 06-07-2010 at 10:36 PM. |
