Something that bothers me...

Altough there are tons and tons of theories on the timeline of Legend of Zelda, I've yet to see one that includes "Wand of Gamelon", "Faces of Evil", or "Zelda's Adventure". Although the CD-i games were crap, they were still cannon. It's like what happened to Four Swords.

It's commonly accepted that they take place just after Oracle of Ages but before Minish Cap, with the exception of Wand which takes place during TP's credits.

According to the Zelda Wiki:

Quote:
The CD-i Zelda games are rarely acknowledged by Nintendo and have been repeatedly declared by Nintendo as not part of the Zelda canon.
Though that claim comes without a source, so I can't be sure.

They take place during the era where it was fashionable for people in Hyrule to pretend they were horrendous actors. During this era, Link went through a phase where he would wear lipstick and fantasize, erotically, about dodongos. Copulating with a dodongo was, at this time, usually referred to by hip-and-in youngsters as "bombing a dodongo".

Also, they're definitely not cannon or canon, because KoH makes an appearance and everyone knows that Zelda's parents ARE DEEEEAAAAD.

Great

I can never again think of the word 'dodongo' without cracking up.

CD-i games are NOT canon. They're the tattered, mangled Copyright remains of a Nintendo-Philips deal that fell through.

Rape is never funny, traveller. Not even when clowns do it.

That reminds me. CD-i games might not be canon, but what about the cartoon?

Nah. Cartoons are usually never considered Canon, and if they are, it's only within the universe created by the cartoon (example: Batman TaS, Superman TaS, Justice League).

The cartoon was only based off of the first game, with a few elements from the second here and there.

Admittably, the Zelda II bosses did have an appearence in Captain N The Game Master where link was pretty much a jerkass.

Link was a jerkass in the Zelda cartoon, too. Zelda was a total bitch. Ganon was a lovably desperate buffoon. It had all the classic makings of a forgettable 80's-style cartoon.

AND HE NEVER DID GET THAT KISS.
