Zelda: Boomerang on B (EDIT: wait, I think I started using the Magic Wand later on) LttP: Hookshot on A OoT: Bow on Bottom C-Button, Hookshot on Right C-Button. I don't think I've ever had something set in stone for the Left C-Button. MM: Same as OoT. I like to keep the Bunny Hood on the Left C-Button. LA/OoS/OoA: Sword on B, Roc's Feather (or Cape) on A. WW: It's been awhile since I played though Wind Waker. I'll probably follow what I did in the N64 Zeldas next time I play. (EDIT: But with Boomerang replacing Hookshot for a majority of the game) TP: Clawshot(s) on B, Ball and Chain on Left Control Pad, Bow on Bottom Control Pad, Gale Boomerang on Right Control Pad. I think I did the same for LttP. In the 3D games, I typically have the bow in one of the item slots. In OoT, MM, and WW, I'd always have the Ocarina of Time/Wind Waker in the left slot. In MM, I'd always have the Bunny Hood out as well. |

| Apparently I'm a mod? Join Date: May 2001 Location: LEGITIMATE BUSINESS Gender: Posts: 13,208 Thanks: 236 Thanked 1,237 Times in 659 Posts | I always had the bow assigned in LoZ and ALttP unless a puzzle called for me to not have fun. 3D games I usually had the Ocarina to C-Down, bow to C-Left, and whatever to C-Right. TP I never had a set pattern. |

| Gotta catch 'em all! Supermod! Join Date: Aug 2001 Location: Location, Location. Gender: Posts: 29,118 Thanks: 2,536 Thanked 1,823 Times in 1,008 Posts | In OoT and MM, I always have the Ocarina on C-Right. I usually have my range weapon on C-left, like the bow or boomerang or whatever, and C-down is kind of my "whatever" button. In WW I always had the baton on Z, range on Y, and whatever on X. In TP...I forget, I've only played through it twice. I should remedy that. Gameboy games I always have sword on A and whatever on B. LttP and LoZ I usually have the boomerang out at all times. |

In LoZ, for instance, the boomerang is 100% necessary and makes the game playable. In LttP, using the boomerang all the time makes the game too easy. |

In OOT and MM i had ocarina on c-right, once again except in dungeons. in MM usually also had the bunny hood on c-up or c-right. i kept arrows on me most of the time in all games. |
