Dude, how do you even do that. Oh, wait, it must be something like when Crav decided as a kid that "Sahasrahla" was pronounced like "Sar-shuh-luh". I don't think I'll ever get over the Texan influence on the pronunciation of things in Metroid. Retro made great games, but "Zehbiss" and "Samus Aaron" are pretty fricken odd to me. I always have said those like "Zeebs" and "Samus Uh-ran" (emphasis on the ran). I'll give them "Rid-lee" over my preferred "Ride-lee" since that's totally minor, at least. That's not even getting into Saria and Varia. I pronounce those like "Pariah", not like "Maria" (that's Muh-ree-uh) and certainly not like Maria with an emphasis like Mars (Mar-ee-uh). My first thought was also 'Zeebz', but that kinda got shaky when I played NES Metroid and saw the older spelling "ZEBETH". From then on, the pronunciation of Zebes has been up in the air for me. Also, I originally said "Mee-troid". |

And I pronounce 'Saria' exacly like 'Maria'. Sans the 'm', or course. And I used to prounce Zebes, "Zebs". |
