Miyamoto wants a 3D Link to the Past

Miyamoto Brings Up A Link to the Past in 3D Yet Again - Sign It's Coming? - Zelda Informer

Hell, I'd play it. I'm calling that the Magic Mirror will cause Link to look into the mirror, spinning the world around to show the transition.

That's great and all, but I want to know how it will be different so I would be interested in playing it as opposed to the original. Well, at this point, many gamers would not have played the original, so I guess it's new to them.

Think Link's Awakening could have a release?

And that's good, that's what I would like to see a Top-down Zelda to look like from that screenshot. I had wondered why we didn't see the pseudo-3D Graphics in Zelda.

Wouldn't work right. LttP makes use of impossible perspective. It would be pretty cool if they used a round perspective and increased the height of a lot of objects, though. Think full-size trees, and then you're talking!

This would be interesting. Now, to try and actually get to the end of LttP.

Like AI said, it uses impossible perspective. As I see it, the only way for it to work in a lot of cases would be a prior knowledge of LttP, or a 2-D submap that will be used quite a bit.

But those aren't very large conditions. I could see this being totally awesome.

Especially one that with its own world design. Like how Majora's Mask was. Not a remake of LttP or Ocarina of Time.(I felt Wind Waker and Four Swords Adventures were pretty unique, and didn't capitalize on an earlier formula, and made its own)

But anyway, I think the game could be pretty good. I hope for remakes of the Oracle Games, since they don't get much love.(Wind Waker also got a single release, but much more love for various reasons)

I think they only will 3D the map so it might not be a static 2d image in bird view, i know that someone did a Links awakening in 3D or was it HD, ill come back on the subject if i find something.

And Hello what is this?

And this one

Both was sadly Canceled due to fangames have a tendency to die prematurely but it allso kind of shows that a 3d remake in 2d 3d is possible.

That's pretty sweet.

I wonder what the official version will be like.(and whatever controls it has, if it'll be implemented well)

Y'know, personally speaking, I'd love it if Nintendo actually made new Zelda games instead of shoveling stuff at me that they've already made and expecting me to be grateful about it.

Ditto that, TML. If Miyamoto wanted to make a straight up 2D SEQUEL to LttP, I'd be especially thrilled.

It would be like the Pokémon NDS games in terms of graphic styles.

^ Possibly. I'd rather they not aim that low, if they have to.

I'd like a 3D Parallel Worlds because I hate myself.

^ When I got to the part where I couldn't progress, even though I had an invulnerability cheat on, because of the constant knockback from being hit by the 9001 fire-shooting statues in the room...

...That was when I knew that I'd obviously finished what existed of the hack.
