We're always having "your favorites" and so on. What do you guys think were the worst items? I think I'll be daring and say the actual Wind Waker was crap. They should've stuck with the Ocarina format. Then again, at least it actually worked 100%, unlike that microphone system in the DS games. |

Outside of one awesome boss battle and collecting a few items, it's completely useless. Same with the Rod of Dominion, really. And Deku Nuts. How often do you use those? |

Deku nuts are kind of like a much less effective boomerang. I was pretty glad they did away with them and just made them slingshot ammo. |

Minish Cap items tend to be like that...the Gust Jar, the Cane of Pacci... I never liked the fact that the power bracelet was an equippable item in the Gameboy Zeldas. It should have just been an upgrade, but I got used to it. I wish the spinner was more useful, because I really do like the concept. It's the reason why Arbiter's Grounds is my second-favorite dungeon in that game. I want to kill myself every time I'm forced to use the pan pipe **** in Spirit Tracks. In fact, I haven't even made it past the third dungeon in that game because I wasn't having any fun at all and that instrument was complete ass. I agree, Deku Nuts are useless. Though I always used them against Ghoma...I only learned last month that people use the slingshot. On a completely opposite note, I just re-started OoS and OoA again, and I've gotta say, they have probably my favorite item selection in all of Zeldadom. Two words: Magnet Gloves. |

The Spinner was cool but very underused, so it counts. The Slingshot in TP gets the gold medal for uselessness. I struggle to remember it exists. |

And yeah- I just got past the Yeti Mansion, and I haven't had to use the spinner much since I got out of the "Desert Temple." |

Let me see if I can reconstruct things. I'll probably fail for a multitude of reasons though. What original statement was alluding to: Basically, neither Oracle games had the Bow, which has out shined the Slingshot in a lot of the latter weapon's 'big' appearances. Small statement was me going "okay, even if the Bow was in both games, the Hyper Slingshot would be cool for it's 3-way shooting and the Seed Shooter would be cool for seed bouncing" now after some thought I'm not even sure where I was going with anything anymore (oh lol the 'big appearances' were 3d argh) |

Although I only found the Slingshot useless in TP since you needed to use it literally once. In the other games, I liked it. The Bombchus in the Oracle Games were pretty much no more useful than the bombs in general. The Biggoron's Sword in that game was also not much needed either. Especially since most bosses required the dungeon item AND strategy. |

They should've made you upgrade from hunting bow to longbow instead, especially since in OoT you have to stand still to use the thing manually. It would've been a good tradeoff because then you could use the longbow for distance sniping and the short bow for close combat. The longbow would be more powerful, but take longer to pull, etc. Of course, every projectile weapon has been bull**** since the super boomerang in Link's Awakening. Well, except the Link's Awakening and LoZ magic wands. THOSE ARE THE BEST ITEMS EVER. |
