Thumbs up Wii U Zelda demo

This is probably going to be one of the most talked about demos for a long time. I can imagine the fans propping it up to be something potentially amazing, like the 128 Marios demo.

Still, more than anything, it sure is purty. I'd love to see some proper Witcher-esque forests going on up in a Zelda title. Do it, Ninty. Do it right nyow.

Looks cool and promising.

I generaly get the feeling that nintendo is taking all the ideas Sega had back in the day with controllers reacting to movement and displays in the controller to name some and making them into their own.

I don't think it's a bad idea cause now we have the technology to make the things work in a way that is tolerable.

And remember when rumors said that 128 marios was going to be a game?

that looks so, so cool. The screen controller is, I think, a fantastic idea. So many possibilities!

But man, that controller's gonna be expensive o.o

^I believe I heard it comes with the console, and that is in the price range of the PS3/360. I could be misunderstanding, though.

Nothing from Microsoft or Sony could top Nintendo this year, methinks.

^^What about multiplayer games though? I can see having to shell out a chunk of change for that puppy.

From what I saw, Wiimotes would be used multiplayer. Would eliminate most controller issues since most everyone has a spare Wiimote.

I think this is going to be fun, at least on the TV, but I don't think I'd want to stare at the remote console for very long. Still I think this is going to be worth the $1k it will probably cost. -CSM

The HD Zelda tech demo looks amazing, and the Wii U looks helluva interesting. That said, for me, it's out of sight, out of mind until

-- Nintendo shows us real games on it.
-- Nintendo tells me exactly what the specs for it are vis-à-vis PS3/360 and their possible predecessors.
-- Nintendo tells me how much I can get it for.

Back to the Link that had normally subtle lips.

That boss fight with Armogohma is a bit different than I remember.

Gohma, the gal that you fight different in nearly every Zelda game.

Also, I'm gonna miss the GameCube ports. If only because of having to buy tons of batteries. 5 players IS nice, though.

^Invest in rechargeable. They save you a lot in the long run.

^ Eh. I'm too lazy and don't have tons of money or time to look. My fault, though. Good advice, regardless.

If you spend the money on 4 packs of batteries, you've already wasted more money than you would've on one pack of rechargeables.

If you do get rechargeable batteries, don't get the DreamGEAR ones. They suck dong.
