Skyward Sword get thread

SS is released here in North America in just one short week (Friday in Europe, next Wednesday in Japan, and next Thursday in Australia). Who's planning on getting it at release?

I don't have it pre-ordered, so I'll try to go out and buy a copy as soon as possible. Since I don't have Wii MotionPlus, I'll probably buy the bundle that comes with a Wii Remote Plus. Can't wait to get my hands on that game.

I pre-ordered the bundle awhile ago.

Too bad I have about four essays do. Well, maybe I'll get most of them done by the time the game arrives.
I'll, uh, think about starting them tomorrow maybe.

I think I'm gonna go to Gamestop and see if there are any preorders left so I can get the bundle. I already got a Target pre-order card, but after buying it I learned it was just the game. I'll use my Target gift cards to get Mario 3D land instead. /shrug

I'm going to have to prefer it for Christmas. I got a lot of stuff already payed off, and I want a nice big Christmas gift-a-thon.

Anyway, I need to actually play a lot of my new games. :P

I might want to buy this but I'm going to be on vacation a while during Christmas. Now that I think of it, it'll probably be smart to play this game when I get back on January 5th.

Cause I'd hate starting games and then taking an extended break and forgetting where I left off.

I've played up to right before the first temple. So far I'm enjoying the game. The graphics are beautiful. Flying around the sky on your wee birdie is fun. Combat takes a little time to get the hang of, though. Sometimes I can't tell whether I'm doing it wrong, or if the controls are just weird. Also, I'm not sure how I feel about Fi yet. So far she's gotten about as much characterization as Navi (i.e. not much). I hope that changes later on.

Gotta keep playing.

Got it today! I played the first hour or so and then handed it over to my roommate. I'm lovin' it so far, and I really really like how it looks.

I wasn't sure how I would feel about the art style before I played it but it's really grown on me. I just got to the first dungeon so yeah, so looking forwards to see how those play out now that the entire overworld is a bit more dungeon like.
