DANMONEY@webtv.net--Okay,
maybe I was a little too harsh on the Nintendo 64. Your right, it
does have more than 15 good games, but I still like the Playstation
better. I'm just defending the Playstation because I think its better
than the Nintendo 64. I'll admit that I like the Nintendo 64. I
have a Nintendo 64, Sega Saturn, and Sony Playstation. I do play
my Nintendo 64 once in a while because of its great multi-player
games. Some of my favorite Nintendo 64 games include: Goldeneye
007, NFL Blitz, WWF Warzone, and South Park. I'm just really
into multi-player games. I apologize to everyone that I said there
wasn't any good multi-player games for the Nintendo 64. I thought
about it for a while and I realized that there was. Here is the
ratings on the top multi-player games for the Nintendo 64 and the
Playstation. I'm rating by graphics, overall fun, and gameplay:

BstyBoys4L@aol.com:--Before
we start, we want to say that Playstation is the best current system,
but that it's own sequel, Playstation 2 or whatever name they can
think of for it, will slaughter any and every other system on the
face of this giant Earth. Dreamcast already sucks, even though it
hasn't been released, that's how bad it will be. If the current
appearance and status of Dreamcrap is anything of how it will turn
out in the end, then Sega will lose all of it's money. Which wouldn't
be very much, since Saturn was worse than the bean burritos that
I had for supper last night, and since they're all poor drunken
idiots who can't think of any good game ideas. All Sega systems
have relied on a few people who would rather die than admit that
all Sega is good for, is.... oh wait, that's right, it's not good
for anything.
Back
to PS2, it WILL kill Sega and Nintendo. Putting Dreamcast in comparison
with PS2 is like comparing putting salt on snails with playing FFVII.
The graphics, along with everything else about the PS2 will annihilate
Dreamcast and anything the slobs at Nintendo can create. Dreamcast
claims to be 128 bit, but it just bites 128 times more than any
other system. The only thing that the modem connections on Dreamcast
will have any use for is looking at gay Pokemon porn sites. Anyway,
we keep getting carried away bashing Dreamcast, but PS2's graphics
alone will sell the system, and with a Squaresoft license, the games
will be great, too. PS2's ability to play original Playstation games
is good enough to beat Dreamcast. The real-time, in-game graphics
look better than all videos from Saturn. They even look better than
real %@#$ing life!!!!! If Squaresoft makes games for PS2 that are
as good as the games that they made for the original Playstation,
with the PS2's incredible graphics, they will be the best games
ever made.
Nintendo
may claim their system is going to be better than Sony's, it does
have 8 trillion times more potential than Dreamcast, but it still
won't compare to PS2. If project Dolphin is as good as the original
Playstation, it will still be an awesome system, but nowhere near
PS2. By saying that it will be better than PS2, they are only trying
to trick 3 year-olds that will eat dung for 1 Pokemon card in to
buying a piece of plastic called project Dolphin to attract little
school girls. I bet every other gaming company is trying to get
a Pokemon license to attract the little pre-adolescent N64 audience.
Since Nintendo already has that audience, they are trying to harness
it, so they make nothing but kiddie games, and know nothing about
pleasing the larger, older audience.
Back
to Dreamcast, since we can't resist such an easy target, maybe they
should learn how to make a video game instead of spending their
time being stupid yokels. I just wonder how many total Street Fighter
games will come out on Dreamcast throughout it's 3 month existence
(if it even lasts that long), my guess is about 14. If Dreamcast
tries to combine games in to one or switch genres, they should make
it innovative or unique, like Ehrgeiz. Or come up with innovative
twists on old ideas, like Legend of Legaia. They need much better
third party support than Saturn. The way they are running things
now, a bunch of drunken red necks on a shotgun rampage could kill
every employee in Sega and take over the company and do a better
job.
Sony
is the ultimate king of video gaming, present and definitely future,
with competition like Dreamcast and Project Dolphin, and any other
cardboard boxes, there is no way they shouldn't completely destroy
all opposition. (2 Points)(-1 DC)
ALMEHDA@aol.com--See?
PSXers, out there, your system is aging, and is destined to die
real soon. The Playstation has no more than 5 good games up its
sleeve, as Sony is started to work on the PSX2 even more. The Nintendo
64, however, has been getting most of the attention the past months.
With Beetle Adventure Racing, Pod Racer (the first console Star
Wars Episode I Game), and Smash Brothers, Nintendo STILL has a future
to look up to. With games that still give them a future (Perfect
Dark, Donkey Kong 64, Poke'mon Snap, Poke'mon Stadium, WWF Attitude,
NFL Blitz '2000, Banjo-Tooie, Super Mario Adventure, All Star Baseball
'2000, Ken Griffey Jr's Slugfest, Earthbound 64), the Nintendo 64
has plenty to offer and promise. Even with an E3 showing, Nintendo
has proved that their games are NOT just for kids (Perfect Dark,
WWF Attitude, NFL Blitz '2000). Sony, on the other hand, is getting
older and older with less and less third-party developers working
for them. THEY HAVE NOT BEEN GETTING THE ATTENTION THAT THEY'VE
BEEN GETTING BEFORE. Sure, games like Dino Crisis, Final Fantasy
8, Gran Turismo 2, Resident Evil 3, and Metal Gear Solid VR will
be some of the best games this year, but they will be SONY'S FINAL
LAST BREATH. U have made some matchups on PSX's and N64's games
(in terms of estimated sales):
PSX
N64
Dino
Crisis Donkey Kong 64
WINNER:
TIE
Final
Fantasy 8 Perfect Dark
WINNER:
FINAL FANTASY 8 (It's close though)
Gran
Turismo 2 Poke'mon Snap/Stadium
WINNER:
POKE'MON SNAP/STADIUM (too many kids)
Resident
Evil 3 Resident Evil 64 (2)
WINNER:
TIE (Yes, N64 owners NEED to try RE64)
Metal
Gear Solid VR WWF Attitude
WINNER:
WWF ATTIUDE (There is only about 10% new stuff to do in MGSVR)
PSX:
1 (2 ties) N64: 2 (2 ties)
It's
close, but Nintendo's lasting power should easily make their money
making these games not only good with the US, but also in Japan.
Nintendo's Game Boy Color, with Poke'mon Gold & Silver coming
out soon, will also help Nintendo reach their greatest sales peak
since the Christmas Zelda 64 was released. Gameboy, should also
easily overcome Playstation in sales in Japan! I know that it's
full of kids, but kids make up this video game industry. That's
why Nintendo is doing the SMART THING.
Now
for the Playstation 2, and Project Dolphin, both look undoubtably
great. HOWEVER, the Dolphin HAS the specs that their past buyers
(right now, still tied with PSX), have wanted (like working with
IBM, and a DVD drive), and should get most game developers back
into their "system" once again. Squaresoft should join soon
because EA is already with Nintendo (esp. after Beetle Adventure
Racing). Capcom has already joined. Psynosis has already joined.
Naughty Dog has joined. Even Eidos Interactive has already joined
(Fighting Force 64). I won't say that the Dolphin will revolutionize
gaming, but it will sure TAKE OUT THE PLAYSTATION 2 as soon as it
is released because:
A.)
PSX2 will have a hard time releasing PSX2s because of the availability
of its latest chip (hard to make)
B.)
Dolphin has better specs, and has what CONSUMERS want
C.)
Rare will be with NINTENDO ONLY.
D.)
Nintendo promises to make its system less than $250, an affordable
price, while Sony might have it over $300 because of the price to
make its main chip.
E.)
Nintendo has THREE (compared to Sony's Microsoft) main hardware
developers: IBM, Matsushita, and ArtX working with them
F.)
Sony has lost interest in the PocketStation, while Game Boy Color
continutes to dominate
G.)
Sony= Squaresoft, Nintendo=Miyamoto
H.)
Dolphin will be hyped
Sure,
Sony's Platstation 2 DOES have backwards compatibility with old
Playstation games, but is that needed? Of course not! People want
new games, new genres, new gaming styles! Nintendo's Dolphin and
N64 have plenty to offer! Just look at my current scores for the
two systems (right now):
Nintendo
64
Games:
8.5
News: 10
Special Offers: 10 (Star Wars bundle)
AVERAGE: 9.50 (Excellent)
PSX
Games:
7.9
News: 8.9
Special Offers: N/A (none)
AVERAGE: 8.40 (Good, but not great)
So,
in conclusion, the Nintendo 64 and the Dolphin WILL have plenty
to offer, and will have a greater chance to revolutize gaming with
the help of the Game Boy Color. Playstation and Playstation 2 may
have the popularity (mostly because of pirated games), but will
die out REAL soon (especially the PSX). Look up to Nintendo! Only
the FORCE is with them. My your decisions keep comforted and controlled!
Goodbye my fair videogamers! (4 Points)(+3
